Street corner local on the Mill Road run, rather faded and care-worn in character, it had the feel and charm of a Methodist Church Hall. The beers were mostly Milton with just a couple of guests. Dog friendly. Not sure it will be a regular visit.
The layout of this pub is slightly odd, but it almost splits into two rooms, one at the front and a larger one at the back. It can get quite busy in here but if you’re heading home from the train station this is a fair place for a quick pint. Most of the beers are Milton, which is fine - there is a small selection of craft and Belgian bottles. Less expensive than others in this part of Cambridge, so perfect for a quick one.
Top pub just off Mill Road and not terribly far from the train station. A quirky little building on the outside. On the inside it’s a symphony in wood. A smaller area to the left of the bar with a large open-plan drinking area to the right. A handful of Milton beers, plus two guest ales and two ciders. Background music is very quiet, encouraging conversation. Cheap, cheap, cheap for Cambridge. Quiet when I went in on a Thursday night. This place should be packed! Spread the word.
Small back street pub, Milton beers, friendly staff and locals, well wort a visit.

Backstreet Milton pub, near Mill road. Mostly Milton beers, but also guest beers from other breweries. Beers were in good condition, staff was friendly and quick. we only drank beer, so I can’t say anything to food. If you are in area worth for a visit.
A nice place to have Milton beers. Pegasus, Carmina Burana & Colossus were my choices (2010, 2011).

We (me & Loz) visited here Sat 14th April 2012. Beer selection was very decent with 4-5 Milton and a couple of guest beers available. The Milton Saturnalia was a stunner and so we had to stop for another. Bare floorboards and quite a bit of wood panelling are the key theme here. It isn’t what you would describe as a cosy pub but it is very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed my first visit here and yet another excellent pub in the grest Mill Road area.

Massive change from how it was when I lived in Cambridge. I don’t miss the heavy smoke, that’s for sure. Great array of hand pumps, and always several Milton beers (this is basically their tap). Slightly hard and wooden feel, not warm and soft, but certainly not unpleasant. Looks good, at least. Always worth sticking your head round the door, but not right at the top of my Cambridge priorities. Having said that, after my last trip, it’s definitely creeping up the list - number 4-ish quite possibly.
