this place is incredible. 15 of their beers on tap, including peche mortel- aphrodisiaque had kicked the night before. Great stylistic variety, from mild ale to APA to impy stout. Food was excellent- had a proscuitto and brie sandwich that was extremely tasty. Atmosphere is really nice, comfortable setting- top notch place.

This was our primary goal going to Montreal and we arranged to stay in their apartment (nice but as advertised it was hot in late June with no A/C). Beer list is exceptional and I just couldn’t drink everthing I wanted to try. When we were there they had 14 of their 15 beers available (# 4 was missing, don’t know what it is). The cask Corne du Diable was excellent. Also tried their Penombre (good), Vaisseau des Songes (very good) and Peche Mortel. I’m not a coffee drinker and the Peche Mortel had way more coffee flavour than I expected so it wasn’t for me. We just had nachos which were fairly simple and some pretzels/nuts just to keep something other than beer going in. No trouble getting a table at 8pm on a Thursday but it filled up pretty fast after that. People were coming and going so no trouble getting a table. An easy 10 minute walk from the Laurier metro station. Need to make another trip back for more beers. Oh and by the way the smokey comment needs to be removed - Montreal bars have been smoke-free for a couple years now.

I was lucky enough to go here twice during my trip to Quebec-once on a quiet Thursday afternoon and then on a busy Saturday night. It was a pleasure seeing the place during the down time and the daylight-a more relaxed feel to sample the 15 or so beers on tap. Selection is 14 because there was no cask both times. The Peche Mortel on tap was superb...Excellent beer bar-Montrealians should feel lucky to have this one in there town.

With the quality of the beer and the uniqueness of the place, there aren’t many better brewpubs. It’s a long-ish but certainly do-able walk from the downtown on a nice day. Cool style for the interior, helpful staff, fun DJ on a Friday night. Great beer list. A bit pricey ($2.50/sample) but the quality of the Peche Mortale on tap is out of this world. The food was satisfying, a decent sandwich. You really have to walk to the legendary bagel places in the neighborhood. Those are unbelievably good, hot bagels open 24 hours a day.

A small cozy bar packed with beer lovers. They have a few of their beers on draft at any given time. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food is somewhat limited, but good small inexpensive pizzas served quickly and piping hot.

Walked thru a blizzard to get there but it was well worth it. Friendly staff, low key atmosphere, (Saturday afternoon) surprisingly good food, and the prices were reasonable. We ordered mostly pitchers. Oh and the beers ranged from very good to incredible.

A nice little pub in a good part of town. A pretty varied beer line up, or so it seems. I do tend to feel a lot of their beers come of tasting a bit the same. I keep going to see if my opinion will change but it hasn’t. It’s certainly enjoyable, and the atmosphere and service are great, but I’m not thrilled with the beer. Oh, and the food sucks.

Didn’t know what to expect, just blindly followed some of the beerpal recommendations. Not a biker’s stop (phew). Not a place of college drunks (phew). Just a nice - even somewhat yuppie - pub to stop in and have a few beers at. I haven’t been to many micro brews that produce better stuff than this. Selection was great (diverse) and the prices were fair. Even the service was good.

An amazign place. They have about 10 of their beers on tap, nothing else. Cool and small brewpub type ambiance. Food looked grim so I didn’t bother. Nothing like having Peche on tap.
