DO NOT TRY TO VISIT THE BOTTLE SHOP IN CENTRAL ROME IS IT IS SADLY CLOSED. They now operate from an out of city location, near to Ciampino airport doing on sales and sales online, but I don’t get an edit option available for the address. A shame it’s closed as in 2016 this had provided me a great ’bottleshop’ experiences. (2016 review: Wanting to buy some rare and interesting Italian craft beer to take back to UK I visited Domus Birrae shortly before their closing time and spent an unhurried 20-30 minutes with a very helpful and enthusiastic young lady who talked me through the different brewers and styles available. Came away with a good selection of big bottles for sharing back home plus a couple ’to go’ it’s a top notch place to visit for Italian craft beer when in Rome).

Service not very helpfull, was too busy on the computer and I should have checked the date on the bottles, the ipa he suggested is clearly not fresh. It was also a bit overpriced

Huge selection at this bottle shop especially when you go out the back. The guy seemed a little unexcited by my request for wifi and any recommendations. He seemed to huff as if I was interrupting something even though I was the only person there and he was just browsing Facebook. Eventually got him talking and got some recommendations for some local stuff

Quite large shop, we were able to sit down for a couple of beers. Several fridges full of beer, good combo of Italian micros and imports. Back room with even more brews, very nice selections as well. Service was OK, bit sterile atmosphere, but we didn’t mind. Prices bit on the high side, but nothing unexpected. Well worth visiting.

Beer shop tra i più forniti di Roma, vicino la stazione Termini. Buona selezione, principalmente di birre italiane. Forse un po caro.

I hadn’t planned on visiting this shop but stumbled upon it while on a cross-city walk returning from Termini. Several coolers of multinational craft beers were available in expensive single format as is typical. Also typical is the need to vigilantly observe best-by dates in all these bottles. Even the best stores in Rome seem willing to sell long-since expired beer; to its credit, I suppose, this shop was at least selling some of the worst offenders at clearance prices. We purchased a pair of Hammer IPA’s to invigorate our spirits as we walked - a distinct pleasure for sure, if lessened by the constant visual reminders of Rome’s recycling issues. Discarded Peroni bottles might outnumber pigeons here.

Not bad selection, but expensive as all the beer in Italy.

Good bottleshop, only a short walk from Termini. Wide selection of Italian beers, some European and US too. Three fridges full of ready-to-rate stuff and even more in the "back room". Selection is varied and quite decent, service is friendly and prices are fair.

Nice bottle shop in a large street with a very nice selection of beers, mostly italian however also some dutch, belgian,us, danish etc... chilled beers and a the barrel aged beers kept in a glass cabin with a lock. Decent prices for Rome. Got some good advice on local stouts, nice and friendly staff. Would visit them again.!

(Original rating 25-08-2014) Very near Termini station, just a quick 5 minutes walk on Via Cavour. Huge place, at least compared to other beer shops I visited. Tons and tons of bottles (both chilled and room temperature, but in a darkish room), it’s pretty much impossibile to go home unhappy. Italian micros and American craft breweries seem to be the biggest emphasis, but there are a few Belgian and Dutch beers as well. Some glasses and various merchandise (i.e. t-shirts). Service could be slightly better.. The prices are on the high side, I agree with that. But it’s Rome, and near Termini, so it’s kinda expected. If Domus Birrae was next door, I’d be broke every damn month. Good. *** Third update: the selection is still great, but, imho, this shop is getting worst every month. The service is pretty much non existent. Sometimes plain rude and uninterested, others literally non existent. The last time I visited there was no one in the shop for 10 minutes! Trying to sell a can with a BB date of April 2015 wasn’t cool either. (From 80 to 72) ***
