Great bottle shop. I enjoyed the selection up front, which you can see from the window, but this place takes it to another level in the their back room -- which features a vast selection of Italian craft offerings as well as some excellent selections from Belgium. Kind and helpful staff. Not to be missed if you’re anywhere near the Termini station.
Great store for buying Italian micros and some other great imports, walking distance from Termini. Great selection. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was surprised at the De Molen and Struise that I found too. Wish I had more time to hang around and drink beers in the store or out front.
I had a great time talking to the boys from Domus Birrae. Very knowledgable and friendly, not to mention generous. Tasted some very nice italian sour ale from Loverbeer and had to take some home to Denmark. The selection is not huge but the quality of the beer in the shop was clearly high. A shame I’m not in Rome more often or this would be a sure weekly visit. Thanks for the great service. Salute!
Maybe the best beershop in Rome. A huge selection of Italian beer and a smaller but very good selection of euopean and US craft beer (as Beer Here, De Molen, Southern Tier, Cigar City, Evil Twin etc.), worth a visit!!!!!
My only experience with Domus Birrae regards an online purchase. The guys from Rome where so kind and efficient, though, that I think they deserve a good rating. Selection is very good when looking at foreigners (few but extremely well selected) and even amazing when speaking Italian. Nowhere in the world you’ll find such a vast selection of Italian craft brews, and so many sours. Amazing. The guy from DB, Fabio, was so kind to hold onto my beers for a week before I could pay him, so I would say very kind and generous. The transaction went smooth, super high quality packaging and fast (and free!) shipping. Definitely the top when discussing online purchases.
beershop sopratutto incentrato sulle italiane, anche se l’offerta di straniere (essenziali) sta crescendo a vista d’occhio..
buon posto sopratutto per il materiale homebrewer..ma puo e deve migliorare ancora sotto molti punti di vista...
Bottle shop / Homebrew shop. Free tastings offered. Large selection of italian brews 5 minutes from Termini. They also sell glasses, t-shirts, etc. Perfect for bringing back souvenirs home. If you ask, they will give you a plastic cup and will open a bottle for you, perfect for an outdoor drinking session on a sunny day.

I guess I had the same guy as Hazelnut serving me. He was there with another woman and half of the time we spent there, they were yelling at each other. Doesn’t exactly make you feel comfortable or welcome. When we came to the counter, the woman did not even look at us,she just started shouting at her colleague, probably because she didn’t speak English. I had one or two beers that were on a 30% discount shelf. However, when I checked my receipt later on, I saw they didn’t give me the discount. And what’s even worse, they charged my bottle of Southern Tier IPA twice!!! I have to admit: hands down for their selection, nice import of USA beers. But Gradi Plato had a better selection of Italians I think. Prices are comparable, so next time, I don’t think I’ll go to Domus Birrae again, to be treated like shit again.
