Chain sportsbar/brewpub...5 of their own drafts (brewed up in san luis obispo). No seasonal or special beers when I was there. Beers were not horrible or great. Pretty much standard mediocre brewpub brews. Staff was friendly.

After staying a week in Santa Barbara I honestly thought this was definitely the best brewpub in the area, the beers were definitely more solid than those of the Santa Barbara Brewing Co. and The (Dreaded) Brewhouse. The other comment here says that the place is quite a lively sports bar affair, this may well be true on weekends, but when I visited the place on a Sunday and again on a Tuesday night it was pretty quite and had quite a nice atmosphere. If you’re gonna go here I suggest going on a Tuesday night when they have amazing food and drink deals $12 for two steak dinners (good steak, too) and $2 house beers after 9 (I think it was). Oddly the place was quite empty when I was there, I would have thought with deals like that it would have been pretty packed, but wither way it was definitely worth going there!

Big sports-bar type brewpub on upper State Street. Lively crowd and pretty noisy for the most part. The beer definitely takes a back seat to the fun/rowdy ambiance of this place, so if you just want to try some of their beers in a quiet environment I would suggest coming early and during the week. Definitely has the feel of a crowded sports-bar that happens to serve house beers. This is a newer location in the small chain of Downtown Brewing Co’s that started up in San Luis Obispo, and all their beers are aliased to the ones served up there, so nothing really unique. For the most part, their beer is pretty mediocre, though they make a decent IPA. I had a six beer taster, which came with good sized samples, and they had a few guest beers on tap, though nothing interesting. The service was mostly college students, who seem to be nice and helpful, though you won’t get much good info on the beer besides what the description card says. Not as good of a spot as the other places in town like The Brewhouse and Hollister Brewing, but not a bad place to stop in and catch a game with some friends.
