A huge made to look English/Irish pub. A quite wide range, but the speciality, beers from Esbjerg Mikrobryg was off at the time for my visit - and that was the only reason I went, so I was very disappointed. I had a new stale cask beer - but it had been open for 3 whole days, which didn’t do the beer any good. The service was OK, they did check the cellar for extra kegs of Esbjerg beer, but were slow at the table. The food was OK, nothing fancy in the cafe for lunch. Don’t go out of your way for this place, but if you pass right by, then drop in.
Located in the middle of the Town Hall Square, this spacious and cozy venue offered me some refuge on a very rainy day. Then I had to wait for more than fifteen minutes to attract a waiter’s attention, although the place was half-empty. Fortunately, the rather slow service is offset by an impressive selection, although it has to be said that the twenty-odd taps feature few rarities. Decent food, served in reasonable portions. Not inexpensive but certainly worth a visit.
Been there a few times. Quite big with bar and pub downstairs, possibility to sit outdoor, restaurant area at the top floor. The beers I had were not something special and they did not have any I had not tried before. The premises were, however, quite cosy, the staff friendly and I have always had a good time there. Have not eaten there yet.
Visited a quiet Easter Sunday. A rather big place with different functions: As a restaurant, cafe and as a bar. All rather old fashioned looking. Bar reminded me of the Swedish Bishops Arms bar chain, with ’bolt on’ British bar interior. Food was okay, gave a little bit of mass produced impression. Beer wise a mixture of the usual suspects from the Carlsberg emporium and locals from e.g Fanø Bryghus and Mylius Erichsen Bryghus. I had a Fanø which where in good condition. Cask was sold out. Price was a bit steep for Denmark outside of Copenhagen. Nice sevice, through. Centrally located in Esbjerg, this is a nice venue for craft beer in an area otherwise lacking good offerings.
The best place in Esbjerg, but says obviously not so much. If they have beers from Fanø’s Brewery, it is dfinitely worth trying. A cozy place that does something good for the beer in that part of the country
Maybe the best place in Esbjerg and people know it. Had a couple of good beers newer before tasted in a nice bar, where people around us had a good time with high laughs. Some beers on tap and many bottles. Good service and a place to be visited again!
