Visited on 26th May 2016. Corner Belgian bar on the riverside on the opposite bank to the impressive Parliament building. We sat outside on the covered verandah and ordered drinks. The range of beer is OK, pretty standard macro Belgian beer, picked up a new tick but nothing that rateable, service was good, prices OK. It’s a nice spot to watch the world go by with a beer in your hand but better places in the City
Belgian beer bar just to the side of the Danube in Budapest on the Pest side.
Nice views over the river to city as you sit on the terrace - although it is on a street.
Decent enough selection of Belgian Beers.
If you like Belgian beers & you’re around it’s worth a visit.
This review is for the Matroz Kocsma Sontese, which is the underground Belgian beer bar that has the same address as the restaurant above. They have 20 Belgian beers on tap and 200 bottles, so something for everyone. Not much in the way of ticks though. Located in a recently refurbished cellar, overlooking the river. They serve food, service is fine and the wifi works. Nothing too special but worth a visit.
Nice restaurant close to Donau river. But also a bit to close to the road. And then a bit noisy outside, due to the traffic. Ok beer selection, but to close to Brasserie Henri. And that place is a lot better!

moderate selection of well-known and common belgian beers for a bit too high price
Right across Belga Sörök Háza, pretty boring place with three house beers (sailor) and common Belgians you can find everywhere in Budapest. Not worth of visit, rather take few steps further and enjoy in Henry’s.
This isn’t actually beer place but they happen to have three (White/Pils/Cherry) beers brewed for them on tap. They also have Delirium Tremens and Nocturnum on tap. Plus about 10 bottles (nothing special). Big patio with view to Danube. Good service even though English wasn’t the thing for them. But German was the solution. Excellent and cheap food. Fillet mignon with wild mushrooms only 2.390,-
Found the place when looking for Belga Sörök Háza (which was just across the street, unfortunately they where closed when I was there). They had a decent selection of Belgian beers. In the same building as Belga Sörök Háza, facing the water is Belgian Brasserie Henry, but didn’t have the time to pay them a visit.
