To say the beer list here is small is to miss the point...the place was always small...as in "microscopic"...lol! There was no room for more than 4 sixtels and some craft cans. But what was always cool was how great the food was coming out of that tiny little kitchen...and that you could have some great craftbeer with it. Well stop the presses...I recently visited to find that Earl’s has actually expanded...they have gone from microscopic to just plain old "small"...lol! (kitchen moved too). Although this is good for them and probably happened because they are doing well...I kinda miss microscopic...haha! Food is still exceptional...seems they are squeezing out a few more beers...still no sign out front...boy I love Earl’s! (Here’s my original review from exactly 3 years earlier: "This is a really great...really original place. It’s true the beer offering is small (4 taps plus several craft cans) but then Earl’s itself is small..."very small". Putting in another draft line would likely reduce the customer space by 1 or 2...LOL! This place is communal, fun, & very friendly. Part of the adventure is finding it...not only is it off the beaten track...but there is no sign out front...so you’re guaranteed to walk past it several times. When you see the size of the kitchen you will be amazed at how they can make such great food...short menu of course...but quality over quantity. The grill cheese sandwiches are fantastic...especially the one with a fried egg...pork belly...& kimchi. Add some fantastic tacos, tomato ginger soup, & an unbelievable house made beer cheese...and it’s easy to forgive the short tap list. They are always great beers though and they turn fast.")

Decided to go on bit of adventure so head uptown to bar crawl back. Cool little joint. Ambiance is cool and music was great when I was there. Food was delicious I had pork belly kimchi sandwich with cheese of course. Beer selection is super tiny and was only ok. If u find yourself in way up here stop for snack

Excellent neighborhood spot, in a neighborhood with very few options. Don’t get me wrong - this place would hold up in more popular hoods too. The place is very very small, but has really good vibe, great beer and food. Beer selection is small - only 4 beers on tap, plus some micro brew cans, but it’s all about the quality here. Each item is amazing. The crowd is mostly Mount Sinai Hospital residents getting off their shift or other staff working at the hospital. Overall great experience!

Small place with solid (small) rotating tap line up. Great beer cheese and all food for that matter. Out of the way, but worth the trip.
