A surprise, a genuine surprise. Found it just walking along Argumosa towards Lavapies, and there it was. Very nice selection of Spanish microbrews as well as European and American. Good service in a small place with great ambiance. More and more taps installed, making it one of the few places in Madrid that push microbrewed tap beer. Check it out.
A few blocks away from museo de Reina Sofia. Popped in and bought a Reptilian and Naparbier (as recommended). Cool little joint with a few taps and a big fridge filled with a seemingly random assortment. It was cold in January, but in warmer months it would be nice to chill outside.
Excellent bar serving a small but good selection of fresh, local craft beer, Mad Brewing Series. However the combination of the great beer and superb freshly made Spanish Tortilla ( with a sloppy bottom - sorry!), and various types of croquettes, makes this a great venue. The atmosphere is superb and the staff ultra efficient - they even have enough time to chat!
