A good neighbourhood depanneur for beers. Bottles are stocked erratically throughout the shop but fun to browse the selection. The chillers keep six packs on hand and singles on shelves. There’s a mix of mainstream and better offerings from Quebec micros. Staying close by, this is a good place to grab some beers for the evening.
Small store just a short walk from Reservoir (and you can stop for a couple smoked meat sandwiches along the way).
Pretty crowded with bottles of all sorts. A lot of good options in terms of Montreal and other Quebec breweries. They even have some bottles of the famous Maltus! A lot of nice micro options. Coolers have plenty of six packs as well as a number of single bottles for sale. Shelves tend to be full of larger format bottles and some special releases from the local micros like Dunham, Simple Malt, Charlevoix, Boquébière...decent selection of glassware as well.
Prices are pretty reasonable on all the beers, or at least on par with the other places I visited. Friendly clerk at the counter and good English as well, which is helpful for an Anglophone like myself.
Down the road from my buddy’s place and right on St-Laurent so it is hard to beat in terms of location. Atmosphere is a dep focusing on beer, service is not terribly outgoing but friendly enough. An incredible selection of Quebecois craft beer from all over the province. Prices are average to high. It’s dead easy to stop in here when out on the town in Montreal so I’ll definitely be back.
Wandered into this place by accident after eating at Schwartz’s for a roadpop. Only got one beer for a long walk to St. Denis but there was a ton of selection here. Lots of DDC, Charlevoix, LTM, Simple Malt, Dunham, Unibroue, and mostly everything else you could want in Montreal without rarities like Trou du Diable. Lots of other less known micros as well. Prices are about $3 for singles - and there’s a big selection of those.
on the main;could not be in a better location.
the owner is nice and likes to chat about beer.store is clean and easy to walk through.the problem with this store is that the craft beer selection is just way too small.i get the feeling the the owner has not yet decided to commit to selling que craft beer and is waiting to decide with the limited stock he has in the store!
Very solid selection of beer: if its a micro brewed in Quebec it’ll be at this depanneur in singles, six packs, or 500/750 mL bottles. The owner is super nice and clearly appreciates good beer.
So if your in Montreal and want to get quality beer, I definitely recommend going here.
