Mid sized Spoons in the town centre. Wooden panelled walls and tiled floors. Decent well kept cask selection. Standard Spoons food. Good service but sadly sadly no working wifi when I visited. Fairly standard Spoons. Worth a visit. Can’t complain about the ale prices and there is a good choice of local beers.

A popular, although ordinary, Wetherspoons.

Visited for a cheeky cheap scoop during the Theydon Bois Wycombe tasting extravaganza. Large Spoons in the town centre, it’s a little down at heel, but was a typical Spoons, lots of room, decor a little tired, low ceilings and cheap prices. Beer range was decent enough on cask with a few new ticks picked up. It’s OK but much better places in town.

A low-ceilinged, carpeted affair. Decent service, cheap prices. So so selection; I managed to find a couple scoops - basic goldes and bitters on offer. Probably not the most pleasant place to spend your time. If not for the inexpensive scooping I probably wouldn’t revisit this Spoons.

Large, double fronted Wetherspoons in the centre of town, handily placed to escape the shopping. Big and barn like inside in the Wetherspoons mould, it seemed pretty clean and tidy on my visit. Busy with OAP’s having lunch, so the general aroma of boiled vegetables around, there was also a few hardened drinkers gathered together partaking in the daily warm up. The beer range was disappointingly sparse but I did manage a couple of local beers, although the quality was poor on the day. Not a bad venue as the chain goes.

A typical town centre ’spoons, with less handpumps than most. A reasonable representation of local beers, but nothing out of the ordinary. Not a destination , but worth popping in if you are in the area.

Visited at lunchtime on Saturday 05/12/15. Town centre spoons, kind of old school type, clientele was a bit rough around the edges ... lots of people ordering food and a number of career drinkers on offer. That aside the service was decent enough for a Spoons. Just the six cask pumps but I had four winners in front of me ... The latest international collab plus local fayre from Binghams, Red Squirrel, White Park and Loddon. Condition of beer was fine. Add to the cask offerings the standard JDW craft range. Not a place I’d choose to linger but certainly worth popping in for a tick or two.

The Falcon is on a corner by the Market Cross. On one side it looks like a typical, slightly downmarket, high street pub and on the other side it’s been ’spoonified with a new frontage and patio area. Inside it’s a standard Wetherspoon’s - quite spacious but divided up into several different areas. There was an interesting but fairly limited choice of cask beers - only six handpumps - and all the keg taps were given over to standard pale lagers, cider and wine. (Visited 17 April 2014).

Fairly average ’Spoons, looks a bit of a dive but friendly enough & the beer’s usually in reasonable nick. Of late it seems to have got rid of the undesirables that used to haunt it. Not sure it warrants a place on here now that Wycombe’s started to get some decent pubs (eg the Bootlegger & the Belle Vue). Very difficult to track down the loos.

Town centre Wetherspoons with a decent, rotating selection of casks and a few bottles. Old boozers drink in the afternoon, annoying teenagers binge drink in the evening and the food is poor. Sadly this is the best pub by far in Wycombe town centre, it’s OK for a couple of scoops.
