I’m not sure I can add a whole lot to what’s been said, but I’ll just say that it’s a blast to go to this place. Easy to walk to from the light rail, sometimes hard to get a good table on the busy days. Decent food, smart wait staff, and goodness, lots of yummy beers. Ambiance is ok -- Crap on the walls, lots of wood. And a GABF countdown clock, that’s fun. Falling rock has plenty of beers that you can’t get anywhere else, aside from the breweries themselves. Lots of stuff on tap that you can only find in bottles. Brilliant place. But, I’d like to see the design of the ambiance improved.
In downtown Denver, decorated with old beer bottles, many of them. Large selection of taps all different varieties, but there seem to be an extra abundance or IPAs and a lack of sour/saisons. Bottle list is spectacular, one of the best I've ever seen, many vintages of some very unique beers, expensive but most are worth it. Food was just ok, burger was gordon food service quality and sloppy. Bar tender knew beer pretty well, but didn't have deep knowledge.
What a venue ... definitely the best join in Denver ... the draft list wows you then, the incredible bottle list .... food was great, wait staff very well informed on the scene and just a great indoor/outdoor place to enjoy a beer ... price was fair for its location neat the ballpark .... definitely the jewel or Denver
It's a pretty exceptional beer bar. Huge draft list, along with a load of bottles. Pretty good prices, although they don't offer small pours. Friendly if matter-of-fact service. The ambiance is old school craft beer bar - tons of bottles on display, brewery ephemera, tap handles, etc. the food menu looked decent. Definitely worth checking out if your in Denver.
Some good beers here but it's disappointing that they don't do flights or 4oz pours. At least you could get half pints, but with this many taps that can be a struggle as well. Better stuff on tap than Tap 14 across the street, and a more quiet place - wasn't super busy even on Friday and Saturday when I stopped in. Service ok. Food looked greasy bar fare.
Big place inside and out was packed during a Rockies day game. Prompt but not terribly friendly service. Great selection of beers and styles. Didn't do flights when I was there, which was a bummer, but I got to try a few.
One of the best bars in town, with an extremely good and large selection of interesting taps. No flights or tasters, so not a ticker’s heaven, but they do half pints for about $3, so that’s still pretty damn good. Large interior, plenty of seating, with a grungy feel. Additional patio seating out front. Don’t miss this place when in Denver.
