Lovely small old-fashened English style pub not far from the center of Sheffield. Nice selection of tap beers of which a number of them change frequently. Bizar athmosphere but nice beers available. Definitly worth a visit.
Yet another excellent pub in Kelham Island. Two rooms, I opted for the quieter lounge as I couldnít get a seat in the public. About eight real ales, plus some standard Belgian bottles. The beer concentrates on Kelham Island but there are some brilliant guests from the likes of Fallen and Blue Monkey. The (very) nearby Kelham Island Museum is recommended.
Visited on Friday 18th December in the evening. Place was busy but managed to get a seat. A couple of rooms in the place plus a large garden. The bar area is tiny which meant service a bit of a shambles with clean glasses being piled up in serving hatch by the door. Beer range is excellent with 3 from Kelham Island plus a varied range of guests. Well kept. Prices good. Be nicer if it was quieter but a good pub.
A cosy and welcoming traditional pub with two small rooms, only one of which has a bar. Thereís a great mural showing a bookcase with a fat cat grooming itself on the top shelf. There are more paintings of cats in the garden too. There are twelve hand pumps and the beers we had were in good condition. We didnít eat there but the food smelled good and wasnít expensive.

Visited several times, latest february 2015 with beery friends. Very local pub, a bit old and deco worn a bit out. The beers was served in good condition, and a ok selection as wll. Large beergarden in the back. Lots of cat related deco, and a painting that reminded me very much of my old cat :-) For sure worth a try, very close to other pubs in the area.
Visited here on a Thursday tea time, on my way to the Steel City Beer Festival. Prior to this, I was last here over 10 years ago. I wondered if anything had changed. And the answer was no. Still the same drab, charmless interior. The same, boring brown session beers on cask. Hobgoblin with a flashing light pump clip, anyone?! The service, from the old lad I copped for, was so abrupt and miserable, it was laughable. If I visit again, in another 10 years, itíll be too soon. Skip this one. Itís been surpassed, long ago, by every other pub round here. Grim.
Itís a cracking boozer where the service was excellent considering the volume of folk. I canít rate a pub too highly when the only place to have a drink is on the pavement outside. You can have as much ale as you want but pubs can be too busy. Iíll be back and hope I can get there when itís a bit quieter.
