Wooden tables. Service was very good. They had clown decorations because of Karnival being soon. Place was pretty empty at 4.30 on a Monday. There were a few tables reserved for later. I really enjoyed the beer there. They had two on tap. They mark the coaster with how many beers you have like in Köln. I liked both beers. You could also get 1L bottles to go. €1,90 for ,25. Ended up being my favorite alt beer and place.
The interior is a bit dull and makes think of the times when smoke was allowed, but it’s classic. Beer served from the barrels and very good. A special one available by the glass but from 1 liter bottles. Rough rustic German service. Good place.
A traditional large German beer hall with a few TVs in the bar area. Service was good as the server came by quite frequently to make sure we had a glass full of Alt. As with the other halls, only an alt available. Price was in line with other beer halls around town.
My first altbier experience was a good one - their 1838 is a hopped-up altbier not to be missed! Friendly good service

May 2013. My final stop in Duesseldorf. Least friendly service of the day here. The outdoor area was full so we found an area inside. Stuffy atmosphere, didn’t eat. Good beer anyway.

This brewpub is a little bit beside the lively city center and Altstadt, therefore it ain’t that much visited like other brewpubs you might see in Düsseldorf. The interior is in its own way very charming, but little bit cold and with low atmosphere. The staff was really nice and friendly, our daughter was welcomed very warmly. It was possible to buy their bottled beers there and this for a fair price. Good and solid place, but nothing spectacular.
Away from the busy Altstadt, about half way to the main station. This is in my top 3 must visits in Dusseldorf. The very traditional drinking hall has loads of character, as does the excellent Alt bier.
