Great place to have a few beers, meet people from all over and a great staff..Been going here since it opened and more reguarly since 2005...The selection is very good over 100 bottles and 51 taps and Martinis... But the Staff makes this place awesome!! Cherie, Bobby,Nancy, Chrissy,Rachael, Katie,Jackie, Teddy and Mike are great... Most places you need to grab the bartenders wrist to see of their still breathing not here!!! I have gotten to know each of them over the years and they make every time in AC GREAT!!! Give it a try!!!
I knew I was making my way to Atlantic City so I decided that I needed to not only bring beer for my room but try to find a place that has good offerings for my stay. My search led me to Firewaters, at first glance not a great looking place on the casino side of the Tropicana Hotel. As you walk in you notice that whole amtosphere thing leaves you quick because the beer selection is very good and I’m pretty sure the best in Atlantic City. I was in there on a early sat night about 7-8.
The bar tender seemed knowledgeable but with all the taps in front of me there wasn’t any need for many questions. Most of the taps I’ve seen before, Firewaters had about 50 taps with only Miller Lite and one other offering that was kicked.
The beers to be had were DFH (90/60), Sly Fox-Saison, Allagash, Kona Brewing-Pale Ale, Chimay Blue, Brooklyn, Stone, etc. All reasonably priced with a load of bottles in the fridge as well. They have a 4 beer sampler/for the price of the pint of the most expensive sample you order. I wish I could have spent more time in this place, with all the beers I did not get to try but if I ever come back to AC this place will be a nightly hang out.
they serve some big beers in a 16oz pint, i stumbled away from the place

a somewhat weird bar as it is in the downstairs of the tropicana, which almost is like a indoor mall with alot of restaurants such as Hooters, Corky’s BBQ. The selection didn’t dissapoint, have many beers such as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap, but on the other hand, they had 3 Heavyweights on tap, 2 Harviestoun beers, Cantillon in bottle. Another big plus is that they do samplers- 4 beer samples for the price of a pint. The male bartender who was serving me knew the beers and offered proper glassware, but the girls who took over didn’t know much at all about beer. Overall, a quality place and I’ll definitely go again the next time I am in A.C.
They have added food. Basic bar snacks...nachos and stuff, but they installed a pretty decent deli counter (very Jersey style with a huge selection of meats and cheeses) where you can literally walk two feet to get a sub.
I enjoyed the beer selection even though it wasn’t the world’s best it was large enough with a pretty decent number of taps. Was enough beers to keep me hopping around and some fantastic favorites I had never gotten to try on draft like Perkunos Hammer. I have to say I really enjoyed this place and if you don’t have ready access to the beers sold in the tr-state area you’ll be quite impressed with the selection.

Easily the best place to find a beer in A.C. 50 beers on draught with a great selection of bottles to choose from. As stated before all the glasses came frosted but this was remedied by asking the bartender to run it under water for a few seconds. By the way this place has the hottest bartenders you will find in any beer bar. Others have said they weren’t knowledgeable but my server knew exactly what I wanted when asked.
Tip of the day: Sit at the corner of the bar. Thats where they stock the Coors forcing the girls to reach down and in to retrieve the beer while you get a show and a half. It’s cold in those coolers. ;^)

A little tough to find at first since this isn’t in "The Quarter" with all the new bars but well worth looking for. Went there on a Monday afternoon and not only was the bartender attentive and friendly she actually knew a ton about beer, she told me about the Belgium style that Brooklyn came out with before anyone else even mentioned it. They offer a "sled" of beers which is 4 4 ounce tasters for the price of a pint of the most expensive beer you picked. Next time I go I’m getting a room and staying until I’ve tried all 51 beers they have on tap, well maybe not the Macros.
Located on the bottom level of the Tropicana, this is basically the only place to consume a real beer on the boardwalk. Have about 50 beers on top and over 100 in bottles. I would say about 2/3 of taps are above average brews and the bottle selection is pretty well balanced between imports and US craft beers. If in AC, this is the spot to go.

One of the best bars in AC in my opinion, but kind of tricky to find if you’ve never been there. The dynamic has somewhat changed from a one time drinking hole to a mid range club with lots of diversity due to the population that goes to the Tropicana.
Food is not really applicable as they have a small menu and most of the food comes from the deli with a pick up windo in the bar.
The bar’s beer selection is excellent with well over 70+ beers on tap and the martini’s are supposedly excellent ( i didn’t have any but some females we were in did) It is a non-smoking establishment.
