The place was pretty busy but we managed to bag a table for four people.
Long and thin bar with table seating, First Craft carried about 15 beers on tap during our visit ... 8 or 9 First brews plus a few guests. We'd just arrived from Jonas where had ticked all but one of the First beers offered here so on another day we could have been ticks in, one of the guests was a tidy tick in the form of To Ol Sherry Goliat. Service was decent here and the vibe was good ... we all eat ... snack type foods in the form of Goulash and Nachos etc ... hot, tasty, fresh and prompt in arriving.
Overall a decent city centre stop ... bright and airy place with good service ... didn't have time to investigate the bottle options but certainly somewhere I'd return to.
Cool place in the central hubbub of Pest. 20 taps, 14 of which were flowing and 8 of which were house beers. Beers were available in 0.1L pours, which was hugely appreciated and good for ticking of course. Very chill and friendly service. Super reasonable prices. House beer quality ranged from solid to bad. Worth a stop for sure.
Medium-sized bar located in a vibrant area. Fancy, modern, slightly industrial design with the beers written on a large chalk board behind the counter. About 20 taps with beers from FIRST and To Øl (because of a tap takeover) for reasonable prices, served in 0.2 l even if 0.1 l was offered as well I believe. Wasn't overly impressed by the quality of their own beers, but the lively atmosphere and the amount of choice made the visit worthwhile.
Large modern place a few steps past the party zone. Long serving bar and plenty of restaurant tables. Visited with Zlotta, fonefan and Brugmansia as the kitchen was closing, so we didn't try the food. Beer selection included their own stuff on draft and in bottles, plus some tap takeover beers for Budapest Craft Beer Week. Would be better if they erased beers that are no longer available from the chalkboard taplist. Solid stop.
Visited May 2018. Huge place, lots of seatings, which you would expect since its a BBQ place. On our visit they where preparing for a tap takeover. So a lot of the taps were waiting for this.. friendly staff. Beers served in good condition. You can 0.1 samples.. lots of bottle beers as well. WiFi.. And lots of plugs if you need recharging ;-)
Modern tap room, quite open and airy. Mostly own beers on tap but some guests too. Tried two First beers - an IPA and an imperial stout, the IPA was rather sub-standard, the stout a bit better. Own beers were reasonably priced, some of the guests were rather expensive. Didn't try any food. OK but definitely not worth going out of your way to get to.
Kind of old style pub but pretty warm and nice with about 20 taps, most of them are of First brewery but there are others, both local and of other known Breweries. The 100ml samples are great when one wants to taste many different beers. The prices are really cheap.
We just arrived Budapest and were ready for lunch, and beer. This place was only a five minutes walk from our hotel. Great option with 10 cl or 40 cl and for a newbie to the Hungarian craft beer scene, certainly a great start! I had 8 beers from First and one from Feher Nyul. (Not 40 cl, stupid!) The beers? Well, the pilsner/lager styled beers had a touch of butterscotch and fruit beers were quite sweet. Decent gastropub food and attentive service. I also liked the tap list on the blackboard over the bar - large, and easy to read letters and numbers. Long bar counter and bar stools. Vaulted brick ceiling. Nice place and of course lots of tourists. (Visited March 26th 2018 with my wife)
