My first experience with the Saucer was in downtown Memphis. I was blown away. I live in the Raleigh area, so I was happy when the Saucer opened up here. You can’t beat the selection. The wait staff is pleasant on the eyes and even though the food selection is limited, it is very good.
Beer selection is decent, although most of the drafts are American, probably due to cost and turnover rate (skunked kegs). Waitresses are usually very easy on the eyes and the food is mediocre. BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Hippie Hollow wrap are the best things on the menu in my opinion.
Nice patio to bring your well-behaved dog to on nice evenings, although there isn’t much of a view.
This area of Raleigh also gets a lot of riff-raff walking by begging for change and the like. Kind of annoying but c’est la vie eh?

A great place for as they say "The Beerknurd". Awesome selection of brews but needs more selections on the food menu. I will say that the staff is well versed in beer knowledge and very friendly and helpful!!
Let me say.. AWSOME PLACE.. my new favorite bar.. they have a beer club called UFO that i joined.. u get a tshirt and if u try all the beers u get a pla8ue on the wall.. VERY nice selection.. 81 on tap and over 200 in all.. the food is decent.. i tried the german platter.. cheese and sausage.. works well with the beer... ANDDDD VERY FINE WOMEN bringing the beer .. 17/20 awsome bar
Until Flying Saucer, I never really had a favorite bar. This place is now my "Cheers". Great beer selection, great beergoddesses, and good food. The only downside to the food is no burgers on the menu. On Sun. NC beers on tap for $3 and free brunch for beerknurds. I’ve got my 2nd plate on the wall and I’m working on number 3.
Terrific beer bar within walking distance to the Greyhound bus station (long story). Free Wi-fi if you ask your server for the password du jour. The selection is as awesome as all Saucer locations. I particularly recommend the North Carolina flight if you’re from out of town. I was impressed with several of the local offerings. Waitresses are unsurpassed in their beauty if not their service.
Great place...the staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. Beer menu changes with new arrivals several times a year. Each night have something on special. Check out the website for more details. Highly recommended. Ask about becoming a beer knurd....lol.
I loved this place. A few of my friends took me down there for my 21st birthday, and my official introduction to real beer, and this place did not disappoint. The beer selection was almost obscene in its length, which would have been overwhelming if I hadn’t a) been warned, and b) had some friends there to guide me through it. The staff was friendly and helpful (the miniskirts could be a bit distracting, but I can’t say that I minded all too much), and they took good care of everyone at the table, even those who weren’t drinking. The only drawback was that it got packed, though that is to be expected in any bar worth it’s salt on a Saturday night. The prices were about average, the real reason to go is the very large selection.
