Huge hall with lots of foodstands, and there’s also this quite small bar. They have lots of Heineken and related brands including Lagunitas. Also some small local breweries on bottle. It seemed all or almost all beers were priced the same at 4.50. OK service, though the beers were really really cold (couldn’t hold the can I ordered). Rest of the foodhall seemed quite interesting as well, and it was quite busy on a Saterday afternoon.

For a beer bar in a food hall it’s pretty respectable with a decent selection of mostly local craft represented on tap and in bottle. It’s located in the middle of the main food stand area and has no dedicated seating of it’s own, it’s all shared seating and was fairly busy when I visited on a Friday afternoon. Foodhallen itself is definitely a nice place to spend some time. Pretty hipster with a great selection of decent food options that go way beyond burger and fries. Don’t miss Oedipus Munchies on tap which is made for them. Scores based purely on the bar rather than Foodhallen as a whole. For the entire package, I’ll certainly be returning!

Visited on a Monday afternoon. Like Zlotta said, not really a place in itself. It’s located in the Foodhallen, where, besides the regular bar and a Gin&tonic bar, there’s also a Beer Bar. Mostly Heineken-owned stuff on tap, but some nice (local Amsterdam) bottles to have with some of the many different kinds of food the Foodhallen has to offer. Prices are around €4.50 per bottle, among them the Oedipus Munchies, brewed for Foodhallen. Didn’t score food or ambiance for Foodhallen, but for the bar itself.

Not really a beer place, since this is a huge hall with different food stands. However, it also contains a small beer bar with eight taps (mostly the Heineken family), and a bit more interesting bottle list which includes quite a few locals like Oedipus and Two Chefs. So as a beer place alone, this would not be that interesting, but it’s nice if you grab some food and have a decent choice of beer as well. Still, I would rather go to Bar Brouw to be honest, although the prices here are way better, it’s actually quite difficult to find the bottles cheaper anywhere else in Amsterdam I’d say. The atmosphere is very different here, of course, as this is a highly frequented and more anonymous place.
