Brewpub that is very close to the ASU campus. Plenty of street parking if you drive there. They have their 6 or 7 beers that are always on tap and then a few special beers. They have some very solid beers for very good prices. I have been there during the business lunch time and also when it is mostly college students. The service has been fine both times. Patio seating is nice and the bar has enough room. A pretty good place to have a few of their beers.
Nice slightly out of the way building in Tempe, not far from ASU. It’s also about a half a mile walk from the light rail. We were lucky enough to get an outdoor table on a pleasant March evening in the desert. Solid beers, very good food. Good place overall.
Had friend drop me off while I was visiting the area. Ordered everything they had on tap. Tender served me the sirius black after having said it was a double porter. She obviously just oopsied that as I watched her deliver the sampler to a couple adjacent me, accurately. The food looked great, though I hadn’t an appetite. I tried the beers, sat at the bar and lounged. Comfortable vibe, busy place. Would go again.
Went on saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy but still plenty of room - cool patio. Service was quick and pretty good. Selection was average with a couple guest taps. A few special selections. Value was good, about average for a brewpub. Overall, a cool but not really unique experience.
Great setting - a large bar area at one end of the huge brewery! A good selection of many styles. Having heard so much of this brewery was disappointed to find them rather bland, the exception being the excellent Hop Knot IPA.
My first stop of the day, just off the edge of ASU’s campus which apparently makes it quite popular. Atmosphere was hopping, Lots of people sitting outside soaking up the nice weather, lots more sitting at the huge bar located right inside the door. The space is so much bigger than I was expecting, it looks like it just keeps going and going. Service was solid. I never had to wait for anything and he spent some time talking to me about PA since he noticed my shirt. Quality was pretty good. Selection was pretty good. I got the 8 beer sampler, which they comped since it was my first visit so thanks for that! They also had two beers on cask that I would have liked to try but I was on a schedule. Wanted something light to eat with my beers so I got the beer cheese bread. Wasn’t expecting some cheesy pizza bread thing but it was really good so whatever. Like most of the other places on this trip, the prices were even with all of the other places I have been. Overall a nice brewpub that I would definitely return to if I was in the area.
Big, roomy space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Sitting outdoors on a 70 degree winter day is sublime. Most of their beer selection is a bit boring yet well crafted. They do step it up a notch with many of their seasonals and have added barrel treatments into their arsenal with is fantastic. Food is ridiculously good if you stay away from most of the fried stuff. Service is okay with much of the waitstaff not really into the beer, but instead catering to the ASU crowd. Definitely stop by if in the area…enjoyable for sure!
