Stumbled upon this place while lost in Columbus. I would have never found it had I not tried a shortcut. I came in when they were done serving food but they still offered to make my group something. They had 5 beers on tap and our waiter seemed pretty knowledgeable about them all. I would definitely go back f given the opportunity.
A little pretentious, but not too much so. The home beer is ok (didn’t ask about bottle), the atmosphere is nice, and the service is about average. The food is good. If others are going by all means go, but I wouldn’t seek this out since elevator is right down the road.
Went here on a busy Friday night. I’ve been to a few Gordon Biersch’s and this was spot on with what I expected. Decent beer selection with ample seating and a nice bar. Had a Marzen and we had to stand so we didn’t stay long. Not much else to say if you’ve been to a GB you know what to expect.

A fair brew pub in a great location. I’ve been here a few times and can echo the sentiments that time has passed this place. The beers are fairly traditional and tend towards the malt heavy types. The selection is also quite limited.
As to the food, it is typical "fern bar" fair. My companions sampled the range from burgers to fish and salad and no one came away with any high remarks. But, no one had a bad meal. I would come here the next time I was in the area, but I would not make a special trip.
Until this visit, I hadn’t been to a Gordon Biersch since 2002, and back then I thought it was high-class beer. How things change...
This one has a nice facility in a great location near the arena and ball-park. Somehow seemed way less unique and innovative than it did in 2002. The menu didn’t look like it had changed a bit (BBQ Chx Pizza, garlic fries, etc) nor did the beers. The beer selection is pretty short, and boring. The beer descriptions seemed geared toward making them seem more exciting than they actually were - schwarzbier is dark - true, but tastes boring. Czech pilsner was probably the most exciting beer on the menu, and far from thrilling.
Service was just average, and the food was pretty good. I think time has passed this place by - seemed to me like an Applebee’s with slightly better beer. I will likely be back, but due to great location and lack of nearby competition rather than for a love of the place.
What a cool place this was!Thanx to BeerVirgin for taking me there.I had their flight of beers really enjoying all of them. They were real solid. My favorite was the Schwarzbier. We also had their dessert sampler which was way cool. The bartender was knowledgable and seemed to really enjoy his job.Thank You Dawn for sharing.
We go here about every four-six months, depending on our budget at the time. Very nice modern yet cozy atmosphere, and we haven’t experieced any bad service whatsoever and on certain occassions it’s been great service. The beers are decent, if not good and you can try samples of everything they have on tap for five cents. Beyond that, their selection is pretty standard. The food may be pricey, but you do get a lot of food...my favorite is the hanger steak. Not a bad place to go if you have the extra money burning a hole in your pocket.
