You can find all the Welly breweries on hand here with any new bottle/can releases on offer. No refrigeration and all bottles stored at ambient temperature. Worth picking up the local supply as turnover should be pretty fast. Perhaps best to scroll past the rest.

Tucked under a parking garage near the Moore Wilsons food market is this dedicated liquor store which shelves all bottles warm and under incandescent light. While the selection is wide and they carry some brands not seen elsewhere, including a lot of Christchurch-based breweries, I didnít trust the turnover to purchase many of them. Not a recommended store to stock up since they obviously are not specialists in the Wellington craft beer scene. A better selection of fresher bottles can be found at the two main New World supermarkets and Capital Liquor.

dedicated beverage stores do exist in New Zealand but most of the market is carried in grocery stores. Moore Wilsons sells a lot across the board and has reasonable variety; AMBIENCE: friendly enough, Iíd rate it well above the norm in New Zealand, there is a certain pride there in being identified with the top end of the market; SERVICE: I find the staff fairly informed and willing to direct your queries but it is a big place; SELECTION: beer selection is good but a bit erratic. Regional is much better; FOOD: N/A VALUE: Pricey as per usual; OVERALL: Still a good place to buy beer.
