I have not visited any other Vinmonopol in Bergen. But I am quite sure this is the best one.
Best place to buy beer above 4,7%. The prices at bars/pubs are even more cracy. So shop here if you want something special.
Absolutely a decent selection
Quite a good selection of beers right in the heart of Bergen, with especially many from Nøgne Ø, Ægir, Kinn, and 7 Fjell. Service is astute and helpful. Prices are the same as they are at any Vinmonopolet: high, but the best for Norway (excluding duty free shops). Probably the best bet for beer shopping in Bergen.

Was impressed when I visited almost two years ago, but on my recent visit I got a bit disappointed. The selection is good by Norwegian standards, but there’s too much uninteresting bullshit in the shelves. Some gems of course, but then again the price level is insane, like all over Norway... Ended up buying all the new ones I could find and four or five old favorites to save for a suitable occasion. But I’ll of course go back on my next visit in Bergen, as it’s by far the best place to get the stronger beers.
A good beer selection, but I did not find anything special. Only one year ago, Valkendorfsgate and Vika in Oslo were the best places to purchase rare beers in Norway. Nowadays several cities in Southern Norway have almost the same good selection. (Visited September 14th 2013)
Ok maybe I missed something here but visiting early on a Monday morning I had no attentive staff and all I found was one small island with beer in the back of the shop. It was a nice mix of Italian, Nogne, Haandbryggeriet, US craft but not all that extensive though I got a bottle of Kinn. Pricey though, more expensive than Sweden’s Systembolaget. I found the selection at Storsenter more impressive...
