Stopped in two consecutive days. Very good wait staff, about 8 beer offerings which could have double that for selection, but both days.......flies. Not a fan of fighting the flies while I eat....twice.
Went here during my honeymoon, might as well talk about the place, right? I was just getting into beer at the time, but still, had a nice amber ale with a fantastic bacon cheeseburger. Good service. Selection was their beers. Decent value for the area.
Nice building. An old fire station turned into a brewpub. Service was friendly but unfortunately the beers were very average at best. 9 beers on tap and a flight of 9 beers available. Wifi was working. I didn’t eat.
Sunday afternoon at 4pm the one barmaid was backed up. We waited a bit for her to catch up. No time for beer talk. It’s a nice looking place. About 8 of their beers on tap. I heard the stout was the best, so I had that.
Review from July 2010 - There are a few good things going on 1) the staff are genuinely proud of their brews (even though they are mostly very average). The people I was with didn’t make it convenient for me to rate any beers, so the place rating will do. Food is normal tgi Friday/Applebee fare, maybe a little greasier and heavier. There was a paraphernalia shop upstairs, but the girl working it didn’t know I was there, so I left. The service was adequate, except when my party (not beer drinkers) wanted refills on soda, they couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Very average, which is the same response I had when visiting in 1993.

Cool building in downtown Rapid City. Has an old school brewpub feel. Only 5 beers on tap with limited selection. Had a burger and side salad which were below average. Leaves a lot to be desired. $24 for a beer and burger of average at best quality. Money would have been better spent at Independent ale house.
What a dreadful place! It’s like Applebee’s as a brewpub. I hate brewpubs that seem more interested in branding than in delivering a good experience. They had 8 beers on tap and most of them were dreadful. The food I was served was an overpriced, oversauced pike of stodgy crap. And I can’t believe this place is so successful they can support a whole retail store that sells their branded tchotchkes. Easily one of the worst brewpubs I’ve visited.
