This place is a restaurant, but also has a separate bakery. My ratings are for the two combined.
Bakery sells "real" German bread, that is heavy in weight and also in price.
Restaurants beer and food is the real deal.
Far enough away from the main street that you can sit outside with only a medium level of Bangkok noise.
Lovely German restaurant in Sukhumvit area. It could be once of the best place to get original German food and beers. The only thing is they only have German beer so if you looking for the different beers from different places you couldn’t find it though.
A fairly decent German ale house in the centre of the city. It has an Oktoberfest style seated area outside which can get hot at certain times of the year, but plenty of tables inside which is of course air conditioned. It’s quite a nice authentic looking place. The service was fine and the food excellent. Come here to eat and for the experience... not for the beer.
I had 3 pints in the Londoner (ok, during happy hour) and spent the same amount on a half litre here (just under a pint). A nice place, just very expensive with not much choice. The Dunkel weizen was nice though.
Finally a very good beer in Bankok! Furstenberg Pils on tap. Just elegant. Not cheap, but I needed to wash away the chemichal aftertaste of domestic lager. I also tried Weisse with my bratwurst and pretzel.
