Stopped here to meet up with some friends. Large open floor plan with lots of tables and a decent sized bar. TVs everywhere for sports watching. Service was good and quick. Food is the same pub food that’s available at the others--burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc. Tap list is extensive, but it’s mostly standard offerings from big/popular breweries like Stone, Deschutes, Rogue, Coors, and a few of your basic German imports like Franziskaner and Weheinstephaner. It’s alright for a place to have a beer and a burger while you’re watching a football game or something, but not a great beer place.

Visited October 17. 2013.

Finally visited the third T Phillips location. This one is about where the La Verne location was a year in terms of beer selection. They’re starting to give a crap now. They still have 70ish taps consisting of mostly crap but they also had Enjoy By along with half a dozen other Stone taps, a couple of Hangar 24 taps, a couple of Goose Island taps, and a couple Lagunitas taps. The room is large and open, the music was pretty loud, and they have the same menu that the other locations do. I got a bacon guacamole burger ordered medium rare that actually came out medium. I was impressed since the other spots always just cook everything well done no matter what you ask for. The portions are fairly large, way too much for one meal for any non-obese person. I don’t go to Monrovia often, in fact this may have been the first time I ever actually stopped anywhere in the town, but this little stretch of Myrtle is kind of a cool spot, with London Gastropub next door and all.

Ambiance: The place is a well lit family-ish joint. Service: The bar tenders don’t know craft beer. Selection:Ton’s of macro faux craft beers, but a few decent local crafts. Food: Decent enough appetizers. Value: A bit pricy for the beer. Overall: A place to check out if you are in Monrovia, but no where near a decent beer bar.
