Visited on 29th March 2017. Patio out front was heaving full of the after work crowd, the pub is set back from Maiden Lane, itís a huge cavernous place with several levels, and stairways and tables everywhere. Itís dark, loud and buzzing. Beer range is pretty good with a lot of beers from the Porterhouse range, a couple of Irish craft beers on keg, 3 cask offerings from South East brewers and a fridge stuffed full of cans and bottles including a few possible country ticks. Service was quick despite being busy, staff also knowledgeable about beer. Might not be one Iíd dash back to but itís got a solid beer range. Prices are at the top end but you are in tourist central.
Gosh hadnít been here in ages...must be getting old! Itís a good pub - live music, noisy, busy, vibrant. Not a place for quite conversation or beer geekery, but a good old fashioned night out Irish pub with a solid range of beers on tap.
Multi-level pub in the Temple Bar area of Dublin with their own beer on tap. Decent selection of their beers on tap and a wider variety in bottles. Somewhat dark within the pub, service is a little slow, but its a fun atmosphere with live music during the evenings. Food is quite good. Not your average craft bar, but worth a visit.
Crowded spot in a touristy area. Didnít seem like too many of the people here were interested in exciting beer or anything. Beers were okay. Kind of reminiscent of some of the generic chain brewpubs we have in the states. An okay stop but not a place Iíd go out of my way for or a place I needed to spend too long.
Lots of irish beer on offer in this large pub with many smaller drinking areas on several levels. The waitress wanted a credit Card in return for a tab! Strange. Okay food and beer, strange service and financial policy!
I may be going against the grain a bit, but I quite like this place. Itís pretty loud, young and pricey, but the labyrinthine levels and darkened atmosphere are enjoyable. Plus itís a good place to try the Porterhouse ales (I only had two but they were pretty good), and the bottles are more reasonable than the taps. A couple of interesting guests on keg, although the cask doesnít seem up to much.
Molto bello sullo stile industriale giŗ fin troppo abusato forse ma cmq sempre díeffetto ! Hanno tutte le loro birre brassate a Dublino che a me non fanno impazzire ma qualcosa di buono sopratutto sullo scuro.
Big multi level pub with industrial factory decor. All Porterhouse own brews on tap all the ones I tried were decent Extensive selection of common world beers in bottles including Trappist Belgians. Very busy early evening but thins out later.
