A really solid beer store if you happen to be in the area. Great staff, eager to help you find some good local stuff. Loads of bottles, almost overwhelming. The ambiance is typical, shelves of beer. One of the best in the Boston area.
Think this store has a new address, check before heading to the address listed here. Could be an additional location for the business. Not that far from the downtown Trillium. New store with a great selection that is laid out by area of the country. There is a foreign section also. You can buy a single of anything they have. Service was excellent and prices seemed very fair. You should visit here if you have the chance.
I stopped over here a couple of years ago while my wife & I were on an anniversary trip in the Northeast. This place was awesome. Wall to wall great beer selection with oddities from around the globe, as well as a nice local selection. You could break apart from six packs, which I’m a big fan of, and the prices were reasonable. I think I spent $100 and walked away with enough beer to last me a couple of weeks and then some. Definitely recommended, in a nice part of the area as well.
Visited on a Wednesday night. Nice little store on the main drag of Belmont. Good selection, well selected, a bit small of course but they do have a lot of local choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were a bit steep, but quality was there too. Nice store.
Very nice little store located in downtown Belmont. On street parking is a little tricky. This place is obviously all about beer with almost the entire store dedicated to it. Selection was excellent both deep and wide. i was able to find plenty of beers that I have not seen in other MA outlets. Service was very helpful from a functional perspective - plenty of clerks helping to gather, price and box bottles as I walked around the store. Knowledge, however, seemed a bit limited, but perhaps I was picking out obsurities. Prices seemed a little higher than average and there was no volume discount or freebies (even though I spent well over $100 and bought a glass). Worth a visit if you are in the area.
Traffic was so terrible to go to Julio’s that we chose to come here instead. While the store is nicely laid and the staff are friendly and seem to be connoiseurs, the selection is not comparable. They certainly have hundreds of bottles, but for many breweries represented, it was a very partial lineup that was on the wall. To their defense, the place is very small, choices have to be made and it all seems to be in an effort to have the broadest and most intelligent selection that can be with the limited space. No refrigeration although the turnover seems quite good based on the patronage during our visit. Not too many rarities. Interestingly though, for the foreign visitor, they have a Massachusetts wall on which you’re bound to find many beers you’ve never heard of.
Amazing selection. One of the best I’ve seen. Small shop but all of the beers are top notch. A few I scratched my head wondering how they obtained them. A few rare beers are over the top pricey though, so beware. Hit them up if you are near Boston.
I checked this place out. It is a bit tricky to get to unless you know the area. There are over 1,000 beers here sold at reasonable prices. Mix and match OK. Lots of regionals and local beers as well as a few I have not seen before. Worth the trip.
Great store. Biggest selection of Massachusetts I have seen. Lots of brands I haven’t seen anywhere else in the Boston area. Tons of imports. Single and six pack prices. Helpful, extremely knowledgeable staff. Lots of brewers visit for in store tastings. Prices are slightly high, but not bad. Great store.
