Visited for the first time on a Monday afternoon in August 2017. Located very close to my hotel, Radisson Olympia. I thought that the selection was better than expected. The service was correct. A decent place.
Short walk from the city center. Ambiance is ok, it’s a grocery store. The service is ok. Bottle selection is lately been shrinking. There is hardly any reason to go there anymore. Maybe a couple of bottles that are harder to find, but that’s it.
The second biggest range of beer in Estonia, recently bettered by Drink Shop. Big name quality belgians well covered (30-ish), similar sized selection of decent germans. Bunch of less-brilliant Czech, UK, and Russian beers. Never needed assistance, so never tested the service. Cashiers are polite, as you’d expect from any Stockmann. Some beers I’ve seen cheaper in Drink Baar, which says something about both places. I’ve not compared, but I expect Drink Shop to be cheaper. There are definitely a few exceptions though.
Dropping the overall score by 3 since they rearranged the shelves such that there was no logic to them at all.
A classy supermarket with a nice beer selection. Even though I appreciate all the small bottle shops around Tallinn, the fact that I’m able to get pretty much the same selection, refridgerated, properly stored, and without having to worry about knocking stuff over every time I turn, makes this my favourite bottle shop in Tallinn. The service isn’t as personal though, and the prices might be a bit more expensive (although I can’t see a difference).
