Dedicated free parking. Wine shop atmosphere. I asked about a mead and the guy knew they didnít have it, pretty good service. Nothing rare, but pretty good selection, less picked over than some hotter spots in town. Beer is mostly on the left and in the back. I picked up a couple bottles. Prices were pretty good. If I had time I would go back.
A decent little place for selection - one of the few places around Cincinnati Iíve seen Haandbryggeriet, and one of the few places around to see any Habanero Sculpin. It can be called anything except organized, however, with six-packs and bottles seemingly shelved according to a system of "meh, whatever", so if youíre looking for something specific, itís best to ask the folks working there unless you have a little time to search. The storage is haphazard as all get-out, with little rhyme or reason as far as whatís on shelves in the middle of the store, whatís in the coolers along the walls, and whatís just literally piled on the floor wherever space permits.
Given that Iíve only been in once, on a seemingly slow Sunday afternoon, I canít comment with much authority on the staff, but the two guys working the place gave every indication of being baked out of their minds. They also didnít seem to know all that much about the beer selection aside from a general notion of where any specific beer might be located in the shop. Still, a decent selection of beers at not a terrible markup!
Quirky store in a small strip mall not far from the Kenwood Towne Center. Generally a pretty good selection of beer. The problem is that finding beers can be a challenge. Some bottles are in 3 different places with not much rhyme nor reason to the organization. I still stop by from time to time.
Located on Montgomery Road not too far south of Kenwood Towne Center and Trader Joeís--a short drive off I-71 if youíre passing through the area. Beer is on shelves, tables, the floor, in coolers, and seemingly sprouting out of the walls--a very large selection for a relatively small space. As others have mentioned, you can always find brews that arenít available elsewhere in the Cincinnati area. Itís on the other side of town from me but Iím going to make it my duty to stop in more often.
A hidden gem in the Cincinnati area. Nice enough looking establishment. Next to a Skyline Chili. Very friendly staff. better organized than past reviews seem to suggest. Nice selection which featured countless bottles Iíve not seen in other stores. Prices are as expected. Check this place out; I can almost guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised.
Definitely not the prettiest or most organized place, but itís the selection that matters most and this place has an excellent selection of beer. Weíve spent a long time in this place and spent quite a bit of money too. Thereís always something weíve never had and they have all our favorites too. Donít forget to walk in the cooler - it doesnít seem like you are allowed, but they donít care - just walk in! Probably one at a time though as itís stocked so full of beer! I canít recommend this place enough. Oh and itís looks like a good selection of wine too, but I know nothing about wine. And Skyline is right next door too!
Iím not a big fan of this place. Iíve been several times, and theyíre always out of the Belgiums Iím looking for (which is supposed to be their specialty). And on top of it, the staff hasnít been all that friendly.
Got into Cincinnati at about 11 on a Friday night and I knew this place was open until midnight, giving me my only chance to get some good stuff before a quick, busy weekend in town. Picked up some AleSmith, Buckeye, and a few others not available in Missouri, where I live. The place isnít much to look at inside or out, but no inch of square footage is wasted. Wine racks are everywhere. A table with some mix-a-six options is on the left, with boxes surrounding it. Beer refrigerators line the left wall, with the beer shelves on the left side of the store. I wanted a YuleSmith Summer, and while they had it, it was the 2009 and not 2010 edition. Tons of craft stuff available here- TBK, DFH, Stone, Bellís, 21st Amendment, Hoppiní Frog, Two Brothers, Allagash, The Bruery, Ithaca, and lots more. The service is friendly, the hours are great- just be sure to check the dates on bottles if available.
