I had a flight on Southwest in concourse A, and once I got past security I realized that there were basically no options for a decent beer in that part of the airport. I headed back to the main terminal, and MoJoe fit the bill. They had 6 solid craft beers on draft (Two Hearted, Great Lakes Oktoberfest, Stone IPA, Yuengling, Great Lakes Burning River, Bells Oberon) and about 15 macro bottles on offer. In addition to beer, they had a small sandwich and salad menu that was pre-made, prepackaged. Service was good, bartender certainly knew more about the beers than your average airport bartender. I asked whether the Stone IPA or Two Hearted was fresher, and he actually had an answer (as opposed to looking at me like I had two heads). Good spot, just make sure you give yourself time to get through security.

(Visited 04/2010): MoJoe lounge at Port Columbus opened recently and it is a welcome sight for anyone who would like a craft beer but can’t get into the B concourse to get something from Columbus Brewing. The bar is located right in the center of the Main Terminal. The bar is small and the seats face away from the masses of people going by. There are also a couple TVs. As with the other MoJoe locations, the beer selection is not overly robust but they have a few good craft beers. There are 7 beers on tap with brewers like Rogue, Bell’s, and Sam Adams. A nice surprise was Stone Smoked Porter too. As for bottles there are around 15 with the likes of Boddington’s and Victory being notable. Service was pretty good on a slow weekday afternoon. The bartender was familiar with the beers and friendly which isn’t always a sure thing in airports. I didn’t try any food and can’t be sure that they even serve any. Overall this place is worth stopping if you get to the airport early or need a beer after a long day of travel.
