I spotted the Belgian national flag outside this place while driving up So. Alamo St., so I had to investigate. La Frite specializes in moule, and prepares the mussels in traditional as well as innovative broths. I had moule prepared with pesto, and my companion had the duck entree. Both were excellent. They
had a great selection of the traditional Belgian beers along with the corresponding branded glassware. It was as if we were on the Rue de Bouchers in Brussels. Highly recommended for the food and beer pairing. I would love to see them bring in American interpretations of the traditional Belgian beers or some less common Belgians.
