Service and ambience were good, no real singles but plenty of bombers and locals were well represented.

This is a much larger version of the Rouse’s near downtown, and it has a parking lot. It’s in a quieter area of the city near the Bayou Beer Garden and Pearl Wine. This is a grocery store first and foremost so there isn’t a need to head over here from far away if you’re closer to any number of other stores or bars (that sell bottles to go) if you’re looking for a good beer. If you are in the area however, it’s about as good as any of the other stores with in a couple mile radius. It’s set up much like the other Rouse’s location too where one wall is full of six packs and twelve packs and then there is separate shelf for singles (which include 5L mini kegs).

On this shelf I spotted some Dansk Mjød offerings (including the Viking Blod), St Sebastians, Chimay, Corsendonk, Liefmans, Lindemans, and Orval, among other imports including some crappier ones like Newcastle, Modelo, and Carta Blanca. In terms of American-made beer there is Stone, Rogue, Abita, Sam Adams, New Belgium, and Ommegang. Not bad but just about the same exact stuff as you can find at the other location and presumably any of the Rouse’s locations. Prices are decent, service is scarce but friendly, it’s a grocery store. At least you can park at this one.
