Not a huge selection on tap but did have some interesting bottles. Foodwise I had chicken and fries which turned out be a bowl of cheesy fries mixed with a Caesar salad, worked pretty well. The woman serving was friendly and prices were reasonable.
A modern bar with an outdoor patio. It’s rather spartan inside but there’s a nice black and white photo on one wall of a boy on a fairground swing over the Maas and the service was friendly. There were at least fourteen beers on tap, with a reasonable choice.

Visited september 2015 with beery friends. Large, 2 storage corner pub, close to city center. Easy to find. Nice selection on tap and bottles, most beers are from known breweries, not much from the newer microes. Beers served in good condition. Lots of seatings outside. The place seemed a bit touristed, and it seemed a few of the tables were taken by people meeting up for a buisness appointment or so.. For sure worth a visit being in Rotterdam..
The staff is nice, but they don’t give the impression that they know beer. The interior is clean and modern/industrial like. It misses cosiness. There are a lot of nice beers in here. The beers are displayed in large glas doored refrigerators, so you can look at what you are ordering. However, this makes choosing a beer harder, everything looks appealing. This place is nice, but not the best bar in Rotterdam.

We (me, dad and Barry) visited Proeflokaal Reijngoud on Friday 13th and Sunday 15th March 2015. This was the first and also the last bar that we visited in Rotterdam. I guess the fact that it was only a 10 -15 minute walk away from our hotel (Hotel Ibis) coupled with the fact that there were some good restaurants close by (see my review for the handily placed stocks great beer restaurant Dertien) There is also a pretty decent Greek restaurant just a few doors along also, though you will have to drink Mythos there. The Beurs Metro station is also just a short walk away for those further afield. On a Friday night this place was heaving, we were lucky enough to find a table upstairs. I thought that the beer list was really good, we looked in the fridges before heading upstairs and I was very happy with the choice, lots of very good Dutch beers and nice to see plenty of De Molen and Kaapse. We came back again on Sunday and they had Dutch football on a big screen showing the local team Feyenoord struggling to a narrow victory over Dordrecht. We arrived with just 3-4 minutes left Feyenoord scored a very late winner and as soon as the final whistle went the place emptied. We (me and dad) drank Kompaan beers, Barry had a Gueuze. I liked this place it’s clearly popular, friendly and there is a very good beer choice.
The best beer bar in Rotterdam currently for range if not ambiance. Pleasantly modern rather than pretentiously ancient or groovy. An intelligent and interesting range of beers with the best array of new dutch in town and knowledge behind the bar. Pub grub.
Glad I didn’t rate this before. The selection has gone down the last 18 months or so. Now it’s nothing more than what 1 distributor can off (Bier & Co) and still the beerlist shows more than they really have. Friednly staff but they know near to nothing about beer "De Molen? Never heard off...". Second best in Rotterdam on Ratebeer? No way!
