Pretty small tap room with a deck outside. 12 beers on tap ranging from light to imperial stout. Quality varied as well. I’d had several in bottles or cans previously, but I ended up needing to try 9 new ones. The IPA and the pils were nearly undrinkable, but the key lime pie gose was quite good. The rest of them fell pretty much in the middle, including the imperial stout (and that’s my favorite style). Service was friendly, but the bartender never heard of ratebeer ("Is that like untappd?"). Got quite busy immediately after I arrived and I had to wait quite a bit for my beer.

Another great little spot that’s popped up in a relatively rural area, but not far from Lynchburg. This is a cool country-feeling setting, with a nice big outdoor area overlooking the woods. The logos and vibe are kinda heavy metal, but the aura was a little more hippy. We tried three of their beers, all very assertive and aggressive. I wish we could’ve spent more time, and would’ve liked to hang out into the evening hours. But without a DD, the semi-remote spot kinda makes that a bit difficult. Friendly-enough staff, although the upstairs bartender was swamped and just kinda takin’ his time. Go downstairs/outside ... that dude was all alone, we walked right up. Brewery #743.

Decently large parking lot. BBQ food truck with pretty darn good food. I ordered the Pork Bomb (pork bbq, smoked mac ’n’ cheese, and smoked bacon), and a beef brisket sandwich. Great prices. Back to the brewery: Artwork hanging on the walls, to which I am very partial. Aside from that there was nothing too exciting. Bartender was a little unfriendly. We ordered a couple of beers to start with, followed by a flight later. Nice outside seating areas, a large back deck that had stairs leading down to the back yard featuring several picnic tables and cornhole boards. The location is a little out of the way, but I’ll definitely be going back.

This was the second brewery visited on a Sunday drive. The building and ambiance are not new but renovated. There were excellent flat screen TVs in key locations. Wes our bartender was very attentive and helpful. I met the owners and his wife Lee who is the brewmaster. They have a beer making supply store next door. Many of thier recipes were tested while home brewing. The quality of their beers was excellent. They have a deck and picnic tables on the lawn. In the fall they plan on televising sporting events in the back yard area. There was no food (pretzels), but sodas were available.

Warehousy with a tasting room and large deck to the back. Comfortable, but the time I was there it was totally packed with people. 5 beers on tap. I only tried one as I had already tried the other 4, and it was off balance but not bad. The others I have tried have been better. Samplers, pints and growlers are available. Prices are high. Tthe food truck out front was horribly mismanaged, condescending and had awful food (Carol’s Kitchen). Not really their fault, but it really killed my mood and the brewery should really ask them to not come back. Parking was tight. Staff was helpful.

First time visit to this nearly brand new brewery (open for about 2 weeks). The brewery/tasting room is in kind of a trailer set up with a small parking lot. There is a patio and a lot of outdoor room that will nice once it warms up. Inside was a bit cramped (but it was cold and snowing). There was one employee working the crowded bar and she did great (Thanks Melissa!) Only three beers on tap, but a nice variety. Tried the chocolate stout and imperial red (also had a wheat on tap). Both tired were excellent. Definitely a high level of craft here. Can’t wait until they are able to expand (or the outdoor seating is open.) Seems like they weren’t expecting the high demand of their great beer.
