Was staying in Macclesfield on business and visited a few places over an afternoon/evening, this was the best by a long way. A nice selection of quality beers on offer, very good food, a warm welcome, and cracking service. A place I hope to go back to.

Not as good as it used to be when it first opened. Everything a bit average now

Between the Red Willow place and the station so handy for a quick check in, a nice example of a micropub. Popped in for a warm on a Tuesday night, served quickly, beer in good nick. Reasonable selection. Got a seat and a quick warm through then headed on my way. Would call in again.

If your ever in Macclesfield you must visit this place about a 2 min walk from Station, quite a small pub with 3 keg and 3 cask, decent bottle list that had a Belgian slant, seating for about 30 people, decent pies from Great Northern Pie Company.

It’s tiny, don’t go in mob handed. A little too small for my liking but there is nothing wrong with what they’ve done with the space. Just me being a bit claustrophobic (spelling? I tried). The people in there seem cool, always get chatting to someone. Service has always been excellent, can’t fault that. The selection isn’t extensive or rare but you’ve got to be some proper beer snob to not find something. And always local beers on.

This bar occupies all of the small ground floor space in this building part of a terrace row of shops. It packs in quite a few small simple wooden tables and there’s not a huge amount of decor, but it’s more than comfortable and friendly with a small selection of locally crafted ales to choose from.
