Located in the Old Town, not far from metro station Gamla Stan. On the first floor in an alley just above the Flying Elk. Fairly spacious, with interior in the same style as the other Bishop’s Arms pubs. Around 30 taps, some usual suspects, but around 20 guest beers of good quality, Swedish and imported craft beers from around the world.. Good selection of bottled beers as well. Service is friendly and efficient. Good pub food. Not the best pub in town, but well worth a visit if you’re in the Old Town.
Located in the worst tourist trap area. And above The Flying Elk. As usual you know what you get when you enter a Bishop Arms chain. This one have a really nice beer selection. Better than many of the others. I would still prefer the bars “on the other side”. Akkurat, Oliver Twist etc
Gamla Stan is the super-touristic area hot-spot in Stockholm. Avoided by many locals, and you quickly see why. All bishops Arms are just commercial craftbeerbars, what we In Belgium concider a tourist trap, but with the difference this actually has good beers ( a load of them ) and sometimes good service. Out of the 3 I visited ( so far? ) this was the least one. The comercial character isn’t hidden at all here. based on a level 1 hight, in the downtown of tourist center-Island, this is bound to be overly visited by tourists. No menu ( folksgatan was the only of 3 that did , that deserves a big + for that location) so very unclear. Service seemed hasty and uninterested to me. The beers in the fridge’s still looked pretty good, selection wise, but if you’re in Stockholm, you can say that for (2?) dozen of bars. So no need to come here specificaly, yet no need to start commiting hatecrimes towards it either .
Quirky BA in Old Town in Stockholm; typical BA decor but with a twist, typical BA selection of beers and whiskies, but a sad looking, short menu. The service was decent, but not more than that. The beer knowledge was not very impressive and I got the feeling they just wanted to sell and move on to the next customer. The food helpings were not very impressive and they had ran out of ESB on my second visit.
Lokalizacja znakomita. Pub naprawdę duży, przestrzenny i klimatyczny.
Situated on a first floor overlooking the water. Lot of glass windows which means it can get a lot of sunshine making it quite attractive. Usual interesting selection of beers and close to Monks Porter a House means that it is worth visiting on a Stockholm beer tour.
Only been here once, but it was a really a nice experience. During the first SWBF weekend, they had some sort of US tap takeover with lots of Coronados, Ballast Points on tap & in something like 35SEK for 15cl tasters. Adding the real ale pumps and other taps made it definitely the best place to sample beer that weekend. English pub interiour & feel. Food was pretty nice. Clean, uncluttered. Service good swedish standard.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon, only a few other customers. Very good selection, and cheaper than in the other BA bars I went to the same weekend. Another thumbs up for the possibility to sample the beers (two beers for 70 SEK, 2x1,5dl if I remember correctly). Huge place and the food (burger) was really tasty. Definitely worth a visit.
