Big sports bar close to Union Square. A lot of games to play, monitors to watch games etc. Too loud even if it was not too crowded. A lot of beers on tap, some interesting (for me that I came from Greece) most of them not so. Dont know about the food. Typical service, OK prices.
When I walked by on the street, I felt like I was about to enter a strip club at first. Pretty crowded place, even on a Thursday night. Big dining/bar area here, lots of TVs, sort of a sports bar feel, I guess.
Extensive draft list offered, but a lot of stuff that you have had a hundred times and can get at any decent liquor store. Didn’t eat or investigate the food options.
I guess I maybe let me initial impressions shade my opinion of the place a bit too much. It’s really not bad, but not necessarily my favorite kind of place. Worth a stop if you happen to be around, but certainly some other good places not far away.
Visited on a Tuesday night in November 2015. Not far from our hotel so stopped in a for a late drink and some food. The top floor is the grill and that was closing for the evening so we were ushered back down to the tap room. Bar service only, the place was busy and loud, decent selection of beers but nothing outstanding. Food was Ok. It’s a reasonable place and handy if you’re staying around Union Square.
Stopped by because I was in the area and wanted a beer. The place was alright but very much a sports bar that also has some beers. I don’t think I will be in again. If you are in the same city as Toronado then you should just be there.
Found this right in downtown San Francisco in an area I wasn’t seeing much in the way of beer establishments. A wide variety of areas inside, with some feeling like restaurant booths, some like a gaming room, some like a sports bar, and some like a beer drinking bar. Lot’s of TV’s around including a huge one that we got to sit in front of on comfy couches. Was quiet when we went in but quickly filled up for a Monday NIght Football Game and was packed. Service might have been a bit spotty for some folks around us, but our waitress looked after us pretty good. Beer selection for me was great, as I got to try a lot of beers I’ve wanted to, but can’t get in Canada, such as Lagunitas LIttle Sumpin Sumpin, some Stone selections and various others, all a treat to see available for me. Loved their wheel of beer you can spin if you can’t decide what to drink (i had no such trouble). Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food. The bill was not shockingly high at all. I’d revisit this place if ever back in San Fran.
