Posto bellissimo tutto in legno con differenti stanze di varie dimensioni.. bella selezione sia spina e bottiglia , personale gentile e con buona conoscenza dei prodotti, l’orario di apertura fino a tardi è un ulteriore punto in più !
Quite large and cozy bar with lots of wood and a good, classic pub ambiance. Was quite lively on a Monday Evening, mostly young people but also a few older people enjoyed their beer. Very interesting beer menu with not only, but lots of Belgian classics, accompanied by a dozen of new wave Belgian beers from BBP, Troubadour and others. Prices were still okay although not cheap, staff was very friendly and attentive. Nice place, enjoyed it quite a lot!
Touristy place with a decent selection of beers. Nice to go out with some friends. Update: it has been quite a while since I visited. Stopped by on the way back from Uncle Babe’s for a nightcap. Tilquin à l’Ancienne² on the bottle list! Really decent selection (best in Ghent??).
Been here many times in the past when I started venturing into the beer world. The original pub was one of classical music and most of the Huyghe beers, including less common ones. In its current form, the range has expanded a bit towards some of the newer micro breweries (3 Fourquets, De La Senne and others) and seems to be more actively engaged in the ever changing beer culture. Tasted that Tank 7 there yesterday, an American beer which is now tested on the Belgian market by Moortgat. Good service, nice atmosphere but don’t mind the ’troll kitch’ which is omnipresent here. In all, a more than decent beer pub, one of the classics in Ghent, apparently owned by the same guy who started Dulle Griet many a moon ago.
Crowded and seems quite touristy, but still cozy and relaxed in a way too. Three floors all together with the cellar and quite decent selection of Belgian beers. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Well worth a visit.
