ManVsBeer  (2050) Hebden Bridge, England | January 17, 2014| Updated January 18, 2014
Open from mid-afternoon only on a weekday, this pub is not in the most obvious place down a narrow lane that doesn’t command a lot of traffic or footfall, the best way to find it is to get to The Works and keep going. If you do then the pub sign will come into view next to two brick chimney stacks, and if one of them is smoking you can expect the warm open fire to be in full force once you get inside. Situated next to the canal it has a terrace that overlooks the man-made waterway, but if the weather is against you you’ll want to sit by the fire on one of the small tables by it. This room also has the small bar which proudly sports six rotating cask ales pushing some keg lager to a side area of it. There’s a much larger room with very little light entering it across from this room but it’s still got a cosy ambiance about it It’s easy enough to clear the tables in here for the various entertainments on as it’s spacious.
