Formally known as Sterns, CORKED now, cashier said due to rebranding. Looks same inside but with cigars. Good local selection, prices where fair for Cal. Find some jems inside refrig and mix-match 6-packs, although limited selection for 12oz bottles. Overall decent store but the one on Sterns is better, also called a different name.

Big liquor store in the Bixby Knolls area. Run by the same people people who own the other Stearn’s Liquor by Lakewood and Stearns a few miles away. Parking is somewhat small for the size of the store. Overall this is a good liquor store, but you should just drive to the Stearns Liquor on Stearns (it is vastly superior - by far the best bottle shop in the Long Beach area, and one of the better stores in LA County.). The only reason to go to this one would be proximity to your house (and still the other location is closer to the freeway).

The second and "new" location of the well regarded Stearns Liquor (on Stearns in Long Beach). This is in the sort of hip Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach.

The building itself seems as though it was an old liquor store for quite some time. Inside it currently feels a bit empty, but I suspect that is because things are just sort of "getting going" here.

Some stacks and shelves of liquor in the main portion of the store with the beer all in coolers in the rear portion of the store (as well as humidors and some wine). High end bottles behind the counter.

The beer selection is certainly good and eclectic, which is one of the things that makes the original great. That said, the breadth isn’t quite there, but you can still get a few interesting gems (limited releases from the likes of Almanac, Firestone, etc.). As well as the more staple products.

If comparing it to the original location, then this one currently falls a bit flat, but I’d look forward to seeing how things progress as it’s still a quality shop.
