Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Small old-style bar, clean, bright and spartan interior, no music. Much like a small and bright version of In de Wildeman or Foeders. Located just off the hustle and bustle of the red light district, I was surprised by how quiet it was here. Low bar in the back, all the liquors and genevers on display of 't Nwe Diep. 4 taps with German and Czech beers on (2 Weiherer, St. Georgen, Eggenberg when I was there). Some 10+ bottles with German stuff you don't see often. I came for Schlenkerla Kräusen, option to drink it from Stein or glass. Had a nice chat with the owner, had some quality German beers and got to sample some Schlenkerla Schnapps and a 20 year old rye genever. Great hospitality. Good prices as well (€5 for 50cl bottles). Will visit again for sure.

Small place on a (by night) quiet corner. Very clean stylish interior (check their website), timeless.

This is the tasting room of 't Nieuwe Diep distillery, and they have every single thing the distillery produces (lots!).

Beer-wise they have only stuff from Bamberg and Czech, with all Schlekerla bottles and seasonal casks even. Everything handpicked by the guy who runs the place and he told us he often goes to breweries to pick up beer. Service was super friendly and passionate, prices were fair. I think you pay the same here for a high quality beer that you pay elsewhere for Heineken. Not a place to have lots of ticks, but to enjoy some quality lagers.

Small place in touristic center but just off the crowded zone. Great experience, just czech pils and rauchbier. Enthusiastic staff and a great experience, well recommended for beer enthusiasts. Schlenkerla by the choice, with proper glassware or even stone. Lovely. The fact that such a place exists is just mindblowing and incredibly awesome.

Small German leaning little corner bar, lots of bare wood. Beer selection is eclectic, loads of strange bottles. Lots of Jenever as well. Just east of the red light area.but surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening.

Small bar just around the corner from tourist hell in an old leaning building with a fairly modern interior. The speciality is jenever (Dutch gin) and other flavoured spirits, but there’s 4 taps of pretty unusual beer and a few equally unusual bottles along with a decent small lineup of various schlenkerla and other German bottles. It seemed pretty local when I visited aside from the location and was friendly service.
