Close to a metro station. Very popular spot almost every seat in the place was taken. There is an upstairs and a downstairs with same draft selection. Most people were eating, large bottle selection but didn’t pay much attention, fair amount of BE / DE beers nothing all to catchy it seemed. 5 interesting Czech beers on tap, friendly service, English spoken lots of tourists, one foreign beer – Delirium Christmas. Lots of new wood. It is a nice enough place, next to me saw a young Russian tourist with an Adventure Time sleeves, which says nothing about this place just random remark. Crowded, solid selection but honestly I don’t get the very high score on here. Still nice place.
My favourite beer-bar in Praha. combined bottleshop and bar. Usually 6 beers on tap (5 czech and 1 foreign), Huge collection of czech beers, some bottles in a refrigerator can be drunk directly at the bar, party-room in the cellar, food ok, but could be better, fair prices
Located near Florenc, easily reachable from city center by walking, or metro/tram/bus. Ambiance is very good, all covered by beer bottles and glasses. The service is great, don't expect much conversation, but they also speak good English. They have 6 beers on tap from Czech breweries plus some fridges with good beers as well. Food is the best, from Monday-Friday they have typical Czech lunch menu for a cheap price considering the location, and is very tasty! Prices of the beers on tap are also reasonable, the bottles are a little bit up. To summarize, an excellent Czech place to visit!
A little out of the way, but easily walkable from the Old Town. Half a dozen taps, some interesting ones, but nothing crazy. No small pours, but the bartender offered samples. Big bottle selection, but it wasn't a very interesting one. You can give this place a miss - way better places in town.
My AirBnB was almost next door to this place (good trip planning). Upstairs looks like a beer shop - bar tables surrounded by shelves of bottles, plus a serving bar. Downstairs has a serving bar, a few bar tables, and lots of restaurant tables. You can order draft beers, bottles and/or food upstairs or down. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Six taps included five local beers and a Belgian, one local beer was a De Molen collab. Bottle list is extensive. Food was decent enough, and filling. Hard to compare prices since it was my first place in Prague, but a meal and four drafts was 300 koruna, about $15. It's on the same block as the Florenc Metro and across the street from the Flixbus station.
A great bar away from the tourist trail but within easy reach of the city centre. There’s one light and airy room upstairs and a basement bar. The tables are mainly high top and you may need to share as there are only two round ones for four people, the rest being long benches. It’s a bit like a canteen with beer - in a good way; it’s somehow cosy and has a nice atmosphere.
The beer list is very good and the beers were all very fresh. There are six taps and a large number of bottles which are available to drink in or take away. There’s also an extensive menu of snacks and meals. Like the bottle selection, the food was traditional fare (and, I must say, very tasty).
The service was excellent - just the right amount of attentiveness, efficient and knowledgeable.
