I’ve been here twice, ate here once. Beers are okay, nothing from this brewery has ever blown me away, but the ESB and Schwarzbier are decent enough. Food is basically hotdogs and whatever you can make out of a deepfryer, nothing special, eat across the street at the pizza place. Bonus points for the excellent service I have received, bonus points for being cute, flirty, and actually understanding what I was talking about when I said their Pilsener had a Diacetyl problem. Also this brewery is 1 block away from Marcus Foods, perhaps THE best beer store in Montana. Worth a stop if you’re in the neighbor hood.
Update! They no longer sell hotdogs and friend foods. They now do EXCELLENT sandwiches.
Great looking place! 2 flights of stairs lead you to a large bar area with a games room further back. All glass construction with a nice view of the mountains. Beer selection was decent enough; all house brews as you’d expect. Had the Black Lager and Stout. Good, decent, balanced, middle of the road beers. The place was very quiet the night we visited; just me & the wife, 3 people at the bar and the server. There were a few more in the games room, but that is away from the bar area. It felt very dour in there, hence I only had 2 pints and then departed. Didn’t get back there as I spent more time across the road at the Great Northern Bar & Grill. Will come back here during the Summer and see how it is when it’s busy.
This place is great, when I went they had 11 beers on tap and I got a taster tray with all of them. Overall the beer is better than average but nothing absolutely spectacular. The lady that was there was knowledgeable and incredibly good looking. The view of the mountain out the back was pretty awesome too. We were the only ones in there at the time but it looked like a place that could accomodate a lot of people. I will certainly be back sometime. Judging from some of the previous reviews I think a change has occured.
So this is another place Kyle recommended to me while in Whitefish. This brewery is very ascetically pleasing. Clean brewery, clean tap room. There is a very good view of the production facility from the tap room. The beer is decent. The food is soup and sandwich, very good soup and sandwiches, but soup and sandwiches none the less. Not bad, I’m sure I will go again, I just would not go out of my way to go here again.

Probably the most modern metro-looking building in downtown Whitefish. Most of the building you see in the photo is devoted to brewing hardware, with only a small amount of square footage dedicated to a tasting area and merchandise sales, while a full bar area and large games room are located upstairs (the games room/lounge looks down into the brewery). A very comfortable feel, friendly staff, very knowledgable about their beer. Lots of swag to choose from too.
May 2007 - Nice building on the quaint main street of Whitefish with a small bar and seating area for tasting. The first 6 oz glass was free. After that you can buy 6 or 12 oz glasses, up to the ridiculous MT limit of 48 oz’s. A few logo items are available for sale. After you sample their brews, you’re right in the middle of a few great eateries, incluing Great Northern’s pub right across the street.

Good location as it is on what could be condidered Whitefishes "Restaurant row." Tasting is upstairs. A 4oz sample, first taste is free. Buy a pint glass for $8 and get a free refill. They bottle so you can buy sixers and up. Beer is average at best. Still it is nice after a week hiking Glacier.
Stopped during our tour of Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana and Western Wyoming regions. As we visited all the National Parks and Breweries summer 2004. This was a fun place to visit and we had a great time trying a few brews. There was not much for food so we did not get any. Was full of the locals which made you feel not welcome but getting behind the bar and pouring I was at home. The huckleberry brew was pretty good and we liked the Hefe.
