Big open warehouse brew pub. Good set up with brewing behind bar. Industrial feel. Big screen and lots of space. Bar staff went the extra mile with generous tasters with handwritten labels. Great core beer on tap. Fairly easygoing and quiet during the early afternoon on a weekday.
Set in one inner suburban Brisbane’s entertainment/restaurant areas, at night there is usually no street parking with blocks. It is housed in an old warehouse which is long and rectangular in shape and has the brewery behind the bar. Service is adequate. The range of tap beer is usually their core range and a special/seasonal if available. They also serve wine but not spirits. There is a basic, limited share platter food list and sometimes a food van may be on-site outside. The week-night crowd ranges from after-work groups to young couples/singles to young families.
Probably my favourite brewery in town just for the beer. We visited on a Friday night and it was packed. Long expansive place with lots of bar seating. No flights but they are generous with the tasters. I ordered a barrel aged beer was billed to come in a "fancy" glass, but it was served in a plastic / fake glass tulip - not cool. Prices are standard for the country. Definitely worth stopping in when in Brisbane.
Visited on 30th March 2016. A few minutes walk from Newstead gets you here. Large brewery in warehouse with tap room at the front. Standard range of beers available plus seasonal but this wasn’t available on our visit. Plenty of seating but deeper in the venue was quite warm and stuffy. Got a table near the door and ploughed through the range. Beer was decent. Service good. Worth a visit especially if Newstead is on the list.
Visited on 6th September 2015 with fellow RateBeerian Nate2g. Backstreet brew pub with a long bar behind which the brew vessels stand proudly. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly locals who struck up a convo with us shortly after settling to sup our beers. I enjoyed Whaler - a special. Worthy of a visit when in Brisbane.

Love the idea of Growlers they make good beers this team going back via my son such a well set up crowd friendly and they have beer making at the top of their list with a few choices to select from.
Visited on an early Friday afternoon in August 2014. Located around 30 minutes walk from the city center. I liked the industrial ambiance with the beer tanks behind the bar. The place itself was quite large and airy.
They had 10 own beers and one Cider on tap during my visit. All were sold in two sizes, 350 and 465 ml. 7 to 9 AUD for a glass.
The service was fast and friendly especially from the lady from Scotland. It was nice to see a man fill his growler with beer, how I miss that in Sweden.
A nice place to visit. The beers were tasty and relaxed. I really liked the Penny Porter.
A working brewery with attached bar and seating that opens up to the footpath. Very pleasant staff that are willing to pour tasters (flights are not available here). I didn’t purchase food however the menu looked filling with a small number of options available, such as seafood, sandwiches, ploughmans lunch etc. Growlers and 1lt Squealers on hand for take-away. Nice place for a jar on a hot sunny day.
