Visited the "new" location while on vacation. This may warrant new place location. Three story bar that was beautiful. Very new feel to it. Almost sanitary. We sat downstairs at the bar the entire time. Had amazing grilled cheese sandwhiches from the food truck. Draft selection was about a dozen of their beers all available in flights. Service was a touch slow considering how slow they were on a Saturday evening. Beers were surprisingly good. A nice selection of stuff that wasn’t their normal lineup. Worth a stop.

1st stop in Asheville on a four-day trip. Went in on a mildly rainy day and sat at the bar around opening time. There were maybe five people in the place. The bartender had a few friends at the end of the bar and she had this "I wouldn’t spit on you if you were on fire" attitude. I had a pour of the Berliner Weiss after waiting for about 10 minutes almost directly in front of the bar tender. I tried a few other Green Man beers around town, and the "old" facility had this well-loved vibe and I am sure that the place didn’t last this long with this level of service, but that was the only impression I got from the place.

Stopped here during the Comedy Bus tour. Good selection of beers. Large attractive main floor with an upstairs. Wi-fi. Friendly service too.

Cosy taproom, with an Irish-bar vibe. Service was really friendly, the lady behind the bar gave me a local beer guide (the last one that they had), which was really cool as this was the 1st brewery that I visited in Asheville and had planned to check out a few of the others. Beers were rather straight-ahead and solid. Really likely the Trickster IPA and the Forester Stout. Prices were good. Can definitely recommend.

I had been to the older place but this time visited the new place next door. Two levels and bars on each level. Great selection and obligatory gift shop. Worth the stop.

Cool place, though nothing out of the ordinary among the many cool places in Asheville. Kind of a bikerish rock n roll type vibe. A few beers on tap, though couldn’t try many since they don’t do flights on the weekends like most Asheville places. Service a little grumpy.

(Visited 06/2015 - prior to renovation): Green Man Brewery is located in downtown Asheville on Buxton Ave between Coxe and Church. Street parking is available in the surrounding area.

The exterior of the industrial-looking building is appropriately green, with a large garage door that opens to the tap room. The space features a small bar on the right side, and a standing bar further in the rear, and essentially standing room between. The industrial feel carries over inside as well, and the one or two fans they had going were not keeping up with the scorching temperature outside that day. The brewery is visible in the back part of the room.

Green Man has around 10-12 beers on tap, and samplers are available. On our visit the selections included a Porter, Blueberry Sour Brown, Blanche du Vert Witbier, ESB and IPA. The beers were above average overall.

Service on a weekday afternoon was pretty good. The bartender made recommendations and we were pretty much left to ourselves while we tried them.

Green Man doesn’t serve food.

Overall this is a solid brewery to visit in Asheville.

Blonde bartender on the 3rd floor must have had PMS -- very abusive to customers. Otherwise, beer was OK -- prefer the old taproom next door because it had more ambiance.
