What else is there really to say? Best place to get beer in Atlanta, or anywhere near it. The Greens location has better parking than Ponce, just no beer cellar. None of the peeps in there know about beer, but if you’re reading this site, I assume you know enough. Tons of Belgians and Lambics if you’re into those. Great selection of locals like Terrapin and Sweetwater. Highlights include Rogue, Brooklyn, Great Divide, Avery, Highland, Clipper City, Medoncino, Unibrouque, Rochefort.. etc... always good prices even for the crap beer. Now they offer good case discounts if you mix/match 6ers. Cash is 5% cheaper as well. Always have good seasonals. I love this place. Go like a bat out of hell if you’re turning left when leaving... people fly around that curve.

Great place to get beer. If I’m anywhere near Atlanta, I’ll be here loading up. There’s tons of micros and imports at a fair price. Shopping for beer in the south is usually a big pain, but this is more or less the one stop supershop.

This is kind of a run down store, that caters to the demographic, need I say more. Great place for intersting liquors. Every once in a while you can find a hidden gem in here though

Like most of the other comments - they have a great selection of Belgians - especially Cantillon, Saison and Biere de Garde - as well as German and English but just don’t seem to have a wide variety of American micros outside of the locals and a few others such as Rogue, Abita and Brooklyn. Definitely worth a stop if in the area - just be careful pulling out of the parking lot.

This and the Ponce store are the best beer stores in Georgia. I have been shopping there for a while now. The general service there is clueless, so don’t even bother them with beer questions. Just ask for the beer-guy on duty. The beer-guys at Greens know their stuff tho, especially Adam. Atmosphere is ok - the outside of the Buford location is a lot better than Ponce. Regarding comments about there being not much micros at Green’s - that is a symptom of the state of beer sells in Georgia and not Green’s.

Pretty much the same as the other Green’s on Ponce de Leon. Slightly larger beer selection. The beer section is tucked away from the windows for the most part. as of June 2005 it’s still mostly European selections but the US micros are starting to flow. Definitely one of the better Lambic selections I’ve ever seen. Only a few vintages are offered, but that seems to be picking up as GA moves forward with the 14% law.

This is my favorite beer store. A great selection of belgians and a few good micros floating around. If you want to shop for beer in Atlanta this is where you go. Hands down.

See comments for green’s other store as there was little to no difference, just no walk in cooler here. They had alot of good german and austrian strong beers here. No carding again, how odd.

The Buford store has fewer micros than their Ponce store, but far more Belgians. But the beer isn’t in a window here and there were quite a few that I haven’t seen before. Beer is probably less than 10% of the floor space, the rest being wine & liquor.

This is pretty much the same as the location on Ponce. Almost identical selection and great prices, but no walk in cooler. Parking is easier though and the location is in a better area.
