Located but a short walk from Greenwich train station. Inside it is a fairly large, contemporary pub. The union is the Meantime brewery flagship bar, so unsurprisingly they have a large Meantime selection. They have 9 unique keg lines with predominantly meantime regulars, plus a few seasonals and guest beers. There were also 3 casks taps, all of which were fairly boring (Doombar and the like). We were offered tastes before making our selection. What I was quite impressed by was the well-chosen bottle selection with various interesting options from Kernel, De Struise and the like. We did not eat, but the food looked good. Much better than expected considering I am not meantime’s biggest fan. The must-visit when in Greenwich.

Lively Meantime pub in Greenwich with their mostly standard tap selection but has good beer bottle collection behind the bar, and a separate fridge with a range of lambic and sours. Expensive London prices but worth the visit if in the area.

We visited The Greenwich Union on Saturday 22nd October 2016 we popped in here before meeting others on the very last Thames Tipple. The pub is located in a rather nice area, I would say quite plush even and with a mix of great looking independent stories and residential. The butchers and the Deli’ at the top end of the street were both doing a roaring trade, they were queueing out the door at the butchers. To get here, if you were in the centre of Greenwich near the markets and walked along Greenwich High Road the A206 which is the main arterial route I guess in the direction of Greenwich DLR and the railway station and then turn left near a small Sainsburys and I think that there is a clock tower here also. Then head down Royal Hill past the butchers and the Deli the pub is eventually on the RH side.

We found out the opening hours for a Saturday are wrong on Ratebeer, we turned up at 11:15 (it said on here open from 10:00) however it doesn’t open until 12:00, I needed to use their facilities and someone else followed us in with their 14 week old border terrier puppy called Parker so bless them they opened early. I have changed the opening hours on here now. It’s a nice pub inside, quite traditional, stone (riven slate I think) floors. It’s goes back a long way with plenty of seating (albeit quite a bit for diners) lots of glass lets the light flood in further back, there appears to be a garden also, it’s a tidy pub.

The beer choice was pretty impressive, lots of Meantime as you’d expect, this included a couple of limited release beers and also some guest beers, including a couple of Dark Star, I was also impressed that they had a few Belgian beers on tap including Dupont as I recall. The bottle beer selection was also extensive, a bit pricey but you could also take them away and they had a separate take away sheet price list. I liked it here, really glad we popped in, the two Meantime beers were very good, staff friendly and it was a really nice place to drink, would definitely come back if in the area.

Nice pub in the heart of Greenwich. Being run by Meantime, it obviously has a great selection of Meantime beers, but also other interesting ones (mostly Americans). Tasty food, traditional and modern at the same time. Very friendly service. Well done.

Very nice Meantime pub. As you would expect they have a number of their own beers that you don’t see other places and that’s a great thing because Alasdair Hook does not make a bad beer. They also had a decent selection of guests particularly in bottles. Nice knowledgable staff and good food. Will definetely go back if I can, even from halfway across London.

Nice pub with good selection of (standard) continental beers in bottles. On drought are too many mediocre Meantime beers unfortunately.

A decent spot down in the Greenwich area. They get some of the one-off Meantime beers on tap here, which is cool. Certainly worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Off the beaten track in the tourist haven of Greenwich, slightly up the hill on the road shooting off from the large brick clock tower as you leave the village area heading south west. This pub, right next to a traditional public house has a mix of the modern and traditional and it’s a predominantly polished wood affair with a stone flagged floor extending right through the ground floor of the building to the quiet beer garden at the rear. Food is served but obviously Meantime ales take a prominence. Other brewery craft ales are also served and there’s a fantastic bottle selection including plenty from the continent, but bring plenty of cash as it’s not cheap. This doesn’t deter people though.
