Much has changed for Hank’s over the last year, they now have 4 draught taps of select local Island brews. Yet the addition of the four 19-litre kegs means less fridge space for bottles. There must now be 6 bottled beers, down from 30+ bottles. The food is always good and service is great. I like the quant atmosphere more and more. I ordered the Pork Jowl Bacon Cheddar Melt ($10), a side of cabbage and a mason jar of Spinnakers Oyster Stout. I love this place. [Previous review, February 6, 2015] This place reminds me of Syracuse NY’s Clarks Ale House... well, except for the lack of taps. The beer selection is pretty damn good and the BBQ is fantastic. A few P49 bombers and many Vancouver Island beers available in the fridge. A great post-movie stop-in or after bar spot. SCORE: 68

Tiny place with a long sit-up bar. Selection of beer is all local and in bottles. Prices are silly cheap for beer, 3$ each. Food is great and service is friendly. Not necessarily a beer destination, but a great place that has good cheap locals.
