If you’re a beer guy or gal, don’t bother going to this place. They have been in business for quite a while but I think it due to their food and location. I certinly wouldn’t go out of my way to drink any of this beer.
Back to good ol Tinley Park for an afternoon of work. My schedule broke so the ticker in me decided to head over here to tick some beers. I should have paid more attention to the reviews... Looks like a piece of trash chain restaurant from the outside. Semi nice in the inside but totally chain feel, especially the menu... I ordered a 8 drink sampler. 7 out of the 8 were utter garbage; the bourbon barrel aged stout was one of the worst beers I’ve ever had. The pale ale was decent...The food menu was typical generic crap, very hard time trying to pick anything out, went with a servers recommendation and it wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be... The one redeeming quality was the server was nice. She basically said the beer and food sucked, so I can’t fault her, I could have left.
AVOID, even hardcore tickers should think this over several times.
i’ve been stopping here to fill a growler, whenever i am in the neighborhood (usually before i stop at rock bottom orland park). dustin, the bartender offers friendly service and beer conversation. haven’t had any food yet.

Have been going here for over 10 years. My parents love this place for some reason. Food is poorly done and service can be down right awful some time. Beer is below average and has not improved. I’ll give them kudos for doing craft beer for so long. I must say their growlers are bad ass thou.
The place looks nice on the inside, a nice ambiance for an upscale restaurant. But very shortly you realize they aren’t quite upscale at all! Their service was below average, their beer selection was good, but the beers themselves weren’t terribly good. The prices were a little high, and the food was not that good. Wouldn’t really recommend this place. Go across the street to RB instead

Went there at open and stayed through lunch on a Tuesday. Why is everyone ragging on this place? Ambience is nice and classy, upscale, but not uptight. Service was outstanding, bartender was extremely friendly and personable. Got to meet the braumeister too, who is very proud, rightly so, of his stout and IPA. Great beer selection, I had 11 on draught. Standard pub fare but big portions. Some of the beers were not outstanding, but I would definately be back. Re-visited 12/07 : Am I missing something? This place is great. The beers have character, and are not formulaic like Rock Bottom across the way. I really don’t understand why people would recommend a corporate shill over this place, anyway. Re-visited 6/08: I still don’t understand why people hate this place so much. I’m no regular, but I’ve been three times and every time the service was knowledgable, prompt and friendly, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the beers were respectable if not really creative. Why does everyone fawn over Rock Bottom for the exact same thing when the underrated little guy is just down the street? Oh well, suit yourselves. More beer for me, I guess.
Decent selection, but nothing stood out. Tried a raspberry wheat seasonal that tasted like a weak witbier with hardly any fruit flavor, and the stout was nothing special. The servers all seemed bored, but the prices were reasonable for the beer. (Food wasn’t worth it.)
I hae been here a few times over several years. This place sucks. Same beers, year after year. Typical brewpub beers with a "brewer’s special" which happens to be the same depending on the season. The cask ipa is it’s only saving grace. The food is decent. The ambiance makes you feel like "this is the place to be", but the beer sucks.
Nice building, lots of food options that were pretty tasty, and eight beers on tap when we went. Although most of the beers are pretty sub-par, the prices for both beer and food are good, and it’s a nice environment to spend an extended weekend lunch.
