Stopped by to pick up a few bottles after a nice walk through the adjacent districts of Haight-Ashbury and Castro. Good bottle shop atmosphere and an impressive selection of rarities. Prices are a bit steep for some of the more exclusive beers, especially rare Sours, but that is hardly exclusive to Healthy Spirits. Overall I found the prices to be fair. A must stop for bottles if you’re in the area.
Small upscale corner store with a strong selection of bourbon and craft beers. Not heavily state beers but a strong selection of regional stuff like a 50/50 eclipse variant for them, and lots of Midnight Sun. Prices are a bit high. Service was very knowledgable and offered good suggestions. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop by, but if in the area its worth a visit.
Stopped by twice when I was on vacation. Well stocked with about 5-6 fridges and another 3-4 racks filled with beer. Staff consists of major beer geeks so they know their stuff.
Parking is a bit of a pain as it’s off a popular street from the Castro. Prices are run of the mill, nothing out of the ordinary or over priced. Good place if you want to pick up beers from the local area.
Small corner liquor store that is very unassuming. As you enter, the depth of selection and curated beer and whiskey picks are obvious. I’ve been a few times a year for the last 5 or 6 years and the selection and service never disappoints. There is always something interesting to try.
